When dd#1 outgrows her clothes, we've always saved them for her younger sibling. All of it (except of course, the rare annihilated items which are few and far between for my mellow, careful dd who doesn't enjoy getting dirty).
So why is it that when I open up a bin marked for the size needed by her younger sister, there are always just a couple of things in there?
Today, I opened up a bin that said "3T" and there are like 2 summer dresses, 3 tops and 2 pairs of shorts, one of which has a hole in the crotch and the other has a mysterious pink stain on the front of one leg!!!
What the heck was dd#1 wearing the summer she was 3?? I'm sure she must've had more than 7 items!
And why did I save that stained pair of shorts??
Now I have to go buy an entire summer wardrobe for the little one. And we thought we'd save money on clothes, since we had two girls.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Maybe she wasn't in the size very long. My kids skipped entire sizes and stayed in others for long periods of time. (And of course they have completly different build...one has long legs and a short torso, the other has a long torso and short legs)
