What sights would you not want to miss at Disneyworld? I will be going on my honeymoon in late July/August, staying at the AKL. Any tips/suggestions?princess:

one of my favorite things last time I went was the safari. I suggest eating at Beaches and Cream. they have great hamburgers and fries. From what everyone else has said, I guess the Yachtsman is a great place too. It is on my list to try the next time.:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Do at least one character meal. Breakfast is usually the easiest to get to. There are several with different characters and you can make a priority seating request about 3 months out for any meal in WDW There is great info on this at Disney Dining Once you get to this page, you can find out info on Character Meals, menus, etc.

All Ears Net Is the best place to get just about any info on Disney you could ever think of.

My not to miss things are Haunted Mansion, Pooh Bear, and Space Mountain at MK and Illuminations at Epcot.

I also found this link when I was making my wedding website...
10 things not to miss at WDW

If you need any more info, feel free to ask. I can't recommend All Ears Net enough...They cover pretty much everything!

Oh, and Pirates of the Caribbean!!!!!!!! (can't believe I forgot it!)

WELCOME TO THE DIS!!!

Here are my don't misses, when DH and I visit Disney:

MK: Pooh's Grand Adventures, Peter Pan's Flight, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Ranger Spin, Breakfast at Crystal Palace on Main Street, Hot dogs at Casey's Corner on Main Street, ToonTown Fair and the Judge's Tent where you can meet the characters.

EPCOT: Spaceship Earth, Universe of Energy, The World Showcases, Illuminations, Lunch or dinner in one of the showcases, The Land

MGM: Great Movie Ride, Fantasmic!, Rock-n-Rollercoaster, dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby, Snacks at Starring Rolls, The MGM Players (you just have to watch for them)

AK: The Safari, The Jungle Trek, Pangani Trail, breakfast at RFC, and the Festival of the Lion King

Other don't misses:
Downtown Disney: Wolfgang Puck's, DisneyQuest, HoB, World of Disney, and just walking through at night...it's beautiful
Grand Floridian: Breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe
AKL: dinner at BOMA
A ride on the resort monorail to check out the resorts. Ask to sit up front with the driver...it's the BEST view! ::yes:: :teeth:

I think that ought to bout do it!! HAVE A BLAST!

DENISE

At animal Kingdom, my new fiance really enjoys Kali River Rapids, the Kilimanjaro Safari, Festival of the Lion King, and It's Tough to be a Bug. I hope that it helps you out.

We're just back from our honeymoon, and here were the highlights:

MK: Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and of course Splash Mountain -- if they know you're honeymooning, they'll give you your own private log! We rode 7 times during our trip and had our own log 5 times. ;) Dinner at Tony's -- they do really special stuff for honeymooners :)

MGM: Tower of Terror, The Great Movie Ride, lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive In.

Epcot: the World Showcase is not to be missed! My DH liked Mission: Space, but I absolutely hated it (thought I was going to lose my lunch and felt disoriented all day afterward).

We didn't make it to AK this trip.. but there's always next time!

Have fun planning!! :bride: :groom:

Thanks for all the great help! What is at Tony's?? How many days did you stay? Im excited, but there is SOO much information out there it is hard to know what to do, what to look for, and what to plan! Yay for Disney!

Tony's is a restaurant, based off of the one in "The Lady and the Tramp".

Hey Talia - Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding and I think WDW is the best place in the world to spend your honeymoon.

Now you can get some great tips from the whole of this DIS site as well as those that Kristen has already mentioned.

Please let me know if you like food and dining - I'm a real foodie any my vacations at WDW are always based around the food so I'll be happy to give you some suggestions.

I'm sure you've gathered that everyone has different must do's at WDW here's a few of mine and if possible get the Mickey Bride and Groom ears they'll add to your fun and enjoyment during the honeymoon.

1. Ask to sit up front of the Monorail when going from the Ticket and Transportation Centre to Magic Kingdom

2. Eat at Jikos at the AKL it's a most amazing place to eat - the filet mignon on a bed of Macaroni cheese (the best I've ever ever tasted) is to die for. Ask for a window sea as you can see water falls and it just seems very romantic

3. Plan some character meals and wear your ears these are such fun and aren't just for kids ;) I really enjoy Liberty Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe

4. At MK do not miss - Pirates, Peter Pan, the Mountains, Buzz Light year and the best 3D I've seen in a very long time Mickey's Philharmagic! The new night-time Wishes fireworks are unbelievable and are not to be missed.

5. At Epcot do not miss - Test Track, Ellens Energy Adventure ( I love Ellen she makes me laugh), SpaceShip Earth, Honey I shrunk the Audience. A nice walk around World Showcase will help you feel that you left the country for the day - it's fun too if you add a drink here or there - great bellinis in Italy ;) The Illumination are spectacular - as it's your honeymoon you may want to try and organise a special fireworks cruise to see the fireworks.

6. At MGM do not miss - Anything LOL I love this place.

7. At AK - I love the Safari but try and do this as early as possible as most of the animals are up and about and easy to spot before the heat hits them and send them into the shade. I love Dinosaur and Tough to be a bug and walking by the Tigers and the Apes too.

8. Whilst staying at AKL try and do some of the special tours they organise around the resort they are all free and help you to really enjoy the resort.

Hope all that helps for now

WOw! Thanks for all your help! We are trying to check everything out, from resorts to restaurants to everything else- there is SOOO much information out there! Plus, i am getting a little carried away reading up on the honeymoon - i still have wedding stuff to get done (haha!). Thanks for any help!
