What nice things do you do for your neighbors?

Watch their houses when they are on vacation. We all do that for each other. When the kiddos were young we would watch each other's kids if needed.

pull a horrible weed called bullhead or devils eyelashes and other assorted names, moonson this summer made all the winter visitor yards just a mess, they would still be tracking in the thorny , painful seeds in on their shoes if I had not spent hours on my hands and knees pull the weeds before they seeded....Have I got a thank you or christmas card from the four couples...nope....My new year resolution is :I am tired of being nice....time to Dixie Chicks up!!!!

I have a couple of very awesome neighbors. One is an older retired couple who just moved in in 2020. The are both retired teachers. DH helps them with some yard work and things around the house, like fixing the lawnmower or leaky faucet or whatever. They invite my kids over to bake cookies and stuff, which is awesome, bc my kids don't have any grandparents, so they are like surrogate grandparents. They come to my kids sports events when they are close by and stuff. We hit the neighbor lotto with them. One of the other neighbors, we didn't know prior but the mom is now my best friend so we (or more honestly the husbands) are always helping each other with something.

next year will have 2 neighbors as Earl, the house with the worst weeds, they just sold and their gravel yard....raked liked a japanese sand garden, hides the horrow of what seeds I did not gather...and poor buyers have a tiny dog.

Until late in Season Four, it is generally accepted that Darnell fathered Earl Jr. In the Season One finale, Earl discovers he had bought the lotto tickets using money he stole from another person, but when he tries to return his winnings to that person, the latter is inflicted with BAD KARMA so he returns the money to Earl.

My one neighbor mows another neighbors yard, He says he has the time and she travels for work. We all take turns snow blowing the sidewalks.

Actually, since my uncle died, our neighbor to the back cuts our grass and he and his son dig us out when it snows. They refuse to take money, so my aunt sends over bottles of whiskey or I make a cake once in a while. So, we're on the receiving end. When I lived in the city...and I've never told anyone this before...I used to buy blank cards and stick money or the local supermarket gift card in them and then drop them in the old lady's mailbox across the street. My Mom and I sort of adopted her until she passed away. We did this on the sneak, because the lady was proud and never would have taken it otherwise.

I feed my downstairs neighbors two cats when she goes on holidays or is just going to be home really late. Her cats are lovely and as they are just downstairs it's no problem.
The odd time I've had to be away she does the same for my two cats. It has worked out well.

We have access to heavy equipment, so if it snows we usually have a front end loader at our disposal & can help plow folks out. We also bush hog the open spaces of the development next to/bordering our farm to help out.

Our neighbor is out of town overnight on a fairly regular basis. We will pick up and hold packages for her, feed her cat, roll out and bring back in her garbage can.

She will do the same for us.
