What Needs To Go

The title of this Thread might be a little harsh.

But, what show, ride, pavilion, or other attraction needs to be updated, remodeled, or even demolished.

I personally would like to see some of the older attractions just remodeled then demolished, but how many times can you do Body Wars or Spaceship Earth before you can't take any more.

I would say more than one of them. Quite a few on your list could use some updating if you ask me.

DH and I were SOOOO excited about seeing The Living Seas after reading it is the largest aquarium in the world. But it is SOOO boring. It's poorly lit, the glass is hazy, and you feel like you're in a dungeon. Sea World does it so much better. Disney really needs to update the entire attraction.

I would say that there are a number of attractions on your list that could use some updating, however the one attraction I would love to see go altogether is not on your list: It's a Small World. Ironically it is undergoing rehab, but I would really love to see this cheesy attraction replaced!

From this list, The Living Seas would be my first choice. But, had you included the Tomorrowland Speedway, it would have gotten my vote.

The past 2 or 3 trips, we didn't even go to Living Seas, which we used to love. Last month, we went because we heard they had updated it with Nemo stuff. It was even worse than it had been. 2 of the 4 rooms on the main floor were closed. Still no ride. Still no diving demonstration. Virtually nothing to do there. I think they should reopen Wonders of Life (which also needs some work) and make Living Seas the seasonal attraction. Of course, they won't do that because LS still costs a bundle to operate whether it is open to guests or not. Shutting down WoL saves a bunch of money.

As for WoL, get rid of all the optical illusion stuff. I've got all the answers memorized. Not much fun that way.

And we love Spaceship Earth. I hope they keep that. I would hate to see yet another family ride replaced by a thrill ride. That just goes against everything Walt Disney stood for.

My DH and I laugh that the little boy in the Norway film must be a father by now, and the people getting married in France must be grandparents!

China got a new movie within the last year or so. Nicely done. Worth a look if you haven't seen it yet.

I think they need to bring back the old JITI ride. They have changed it 2 or 3 times the last 8 years bring back the one from 8 years ago with figment....I also agree with The Living Seas and The speedway and I think the people mover is a waste of time and tear down Stitch asap...

V of LM has never done much for me, so that got my vote. I agree about the Speedway, too- you could fit some neat new stuff in the space that takes up! Also, I haven't been on the new Stitch attraction yet, but from what I've heard, it may be time to give up on that, and just put something completly new in!

I totally agree with this!!! And Muppets too- after you've seen Mickey's Philharmagic.... this totally stinks!

NOOOO I love Spaceship Earth the way it is-- the creaking and everything! Thrill rides are great and all but this one is just too classic.

OMG! Spaceship Earth is a classic! Don't make it modern! It's educational! Don't give it a bad rep. for being old and educational!


As for Living Seas, it is wonderful! Don't you think the Manatees are s graceful for their size? And isn't the Nemo attraction neat?

You can't be dissing the classics. They are what makes Disney, Disney without them Disney would be just another theme park.
