LOL- I really thought I was going to be the first one to mention that movie. :) I LOVE The American President!!

Shawshank Redemption is another one that I watch everytime I happen to pass by it while channel-flipping.

Nevermind the fact I own both on DVD  Of course, we did buy them both because we were always watching them on TBS.

I've never watch Office Space on TV, but it is the movie I watch most often on DVD. I get such a kick out of the fax machine scene - I used to want to do that to an evil copier at my former employer. And everyone at work quotes that movie - TPS reports, red staplers, a "case of the Mondays," efficiency experts, Lumberg impressions. I think of the old man with the walker (opening credits) every time I'm stuck in traffic. What an awesome movie!

I don't like to watch movies over and over again, but I do get suckered in every time I come across Jaws and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Being a guy, I am almost ashamed to admit it, but I absolutely have to watch The Cutting Edge.

Why Drake!! A whole sensitive side to you that I never knew about.... ;) :lovestruc

I have to say Office Space and Christmas Vacation

Flipping channels, the movies I usually watch over again are
The Waterboy
Shawshank Redemption
Blues Brothers
Caddyshack

:)

Scott

Shawshank Redemtion

The Godfather's 1 & 2

Goodfellas

Scarface

Broken Arrow with John Travolta, great movie.

Terminator 1 and 2

Somewhere In Time wiht Jane Seymour & Christopher Reeve. Great movie!

I'm sure I'll think of more.

If I'm flipping channels and come across "Jaws" or "Father of the Bride" (the version with Steve Martin) I always stop and watch!

Field of Dreams
8 Seconds

For my DH it is Urban Cowboy ... drives me nuts we have it here in the house to be watched at anytime . yet when it comes on one of our million stations he has to watch it or Tivo it ?????? He is nuts I swear.

I've noticed that Shawshank Redemption has been on a lot of your lists (including mine).

What is it about this movie that compels you to watch it whenever it's on?

I've seen several movie critics who rate this as the best movie ever made.

Grease
West Side Story
The King and I
Star Wars
Halloween
Anything with Cary Grant.

It's funny though because we have most of these but I still have to watch them when they're on.

gotta see road house,, even though i just got it on dvd a few weeks ago,, also love 8 seconds ( met Lane frost back when i hung around rodeos:) )

Oh so many! In no particular order:

Steel Magnolias
Somewhere In Time
An Officer and a Gentleman
Muriel's Wedding
16 Candles
The Breakfast Club
Gone With the Wind
The Sound of Music

There are a lot more I know I'm forgetting. I just love movies period.

Sixteen Candles
The Breakfast Club
Any of the National Lampoon Vacation Movies
A Christmas Story

Ok, I know I look like a total loser, and I may lose friends, but I have never seen Office Space!

Breakfast at Tiffany's
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Way We Were
Gone With The Wind
The Wizard of Oz
Jaws
The Breakfast Club
The King & I, Oklahoma, The Music Man (any of those old musicals...I LOVE them)
Doris Day movies (I know weird)

It's just a really well done story, great acting and great characters (good and bad). Andy Dufraine is a likeable character, and he handles a horrible situation with such grace, especially given his innocence.
