We have just decided to book a trip to WDW for the end of Feb. I was thinking of going with POP, but both my DH and I are a bit scared of the room size. We have stayed at CBR and really loved it, but I would really loved some opinions and pictures?? of POR and CSR. Any opinions would be welcomed.

We loved POR. Stayed there twice. Then stayed at the Polynesian and then last month at AllStarMusic. Now, we did buy BWV this fall and will be staying there next August. But, I have to say that we really didn't notice a huge difference in room size between the AllStars and POR. We had only the one sink at AllStarMu vs. double sink at POR. There is a difference in room size but it didn't make a huge diff. to me. We'll be staying at the AllStars before our trip to Vero Beach in the future.

:D

I stayed at the CSR in 2002 and I loved it. The theming of the entire resort was awesome. I stayed in the Ranchos section and thought that was the best of the three sections. It's the farthest from the food court and everything else, but it provides for a nice walk to breakfast in the morning. I don't have any pictures, but Buzz2001 has a website (at least, I think he still does). If not, go to Disneypix.com and click on resorts. They have pictures of all the resorts and I remember them having pictures of the CSR, including rooms. Have a great time.

I'm pretty sure that the rooms at CBR are the largest of the moderates. I know at least it felt that way to us. We have stayed at both CBR and POR and the room seemed more cramped at POR, comparible to our stay at ASMO.

IMHO, I wouldn't choose between a value and a moderate solely based on the room size. The rooms at some of the moderates do not seem to be that much bigger than the value rooms. Choose the moderates because of the great amenities.

POR was a lot of fun. Fun pool, great theme, boat to DTD, Bob Jackson and carriage rides come to mind. The feel of the resort at check in was that of a Deluxe.

We have yet to stay at CSR but most likely will be staying there this April. They too seem to have some great amenities that you will not find at PC.

We loved our stay at CBR and liked our stay at POR. CSR is next up us. The CSR FAQ thread had some great sites for pictures and info on the resort.

Good luck and have fun where ever you decide to stay!:sunny:

We stayed in POR last September and I cannot say enough great things about that resort. It gets my pick!
The layout is awsome, I hardly saw another person and it was so quiet. The pool was great-not to mention the pool bar! The customer service was great too.

We are staying in Pop at the end of this month and I hope the difference in room size isn't that major.

We Love the PO....Riverside and our favorite is PO French Quarter....however I do not think they are taking reservations at POFQ due to renovations, but We love POR too. Its a very pretty resort and we love the boat ride to downtown Disney.

Good luck with you decision.

We've stayed at the POR Riverside mansions and bayous. The mansions were beautiful and we liked them more than the bayous.

We've also stayed at CBR and that is my favorite resort. I loved relaxing on the beach and watching the fireworks.

The thing is, we really only sleep and shower in our room and never use the other ammenities. I've stayed at the AS Music and missed the beach and river but otherwise it worked out fine. The rooms are slightly smaller but not by much.

I'm leaving for PC in 10 days. I decided on PC solely because of Tyler. I really wanted to try CSR but will do that next trip. My only comment to you is that I would give a new resort a try. I've stayed in some of the resorts more than once and my new goal is to try every resort.

For my birthday trip, I picked POR. We're going to request the mansions I think since it's supposed to be a bit romantic, and I'm looking forward to hearing Bob Jackson, taking the boat to DTD again, and maybe DH will remember to plan a carriage ride. LOL

I do like CSR, but have never stayed in the mansion side of POR.
