What mall is better/closer: Florida Mall, or Millenium Mall?

Hi Everyone!
First time we'll be shopping, and just wondering which mall is bigger/better, and which one is closer?

We don't have a car, so is the only way to get to the mall a Taxi or public transit, or are there any shuttle buses?

Your opinions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I can't really answer your question as to which mall is closer or even bigger, but I can tell you that my girls and I went to the Mall at Millenia the day after Thanksgiving while visiting a relative in Daytona and thought it was awesome! It is the most beautiful, architecturally stunning mall I have ever seen, and the store selection and variety is incredible. Some of the stores are worth seeing just to look in the window, but there were some good values, too. Wide parking aisles and you never felt crowded inside this beautiful mall, even the day after Thanksgiving. We're coming back this June while we're in Orlando on vacation, that's for sure, and my two teenaged girls are already talking about this shopping trip! They can't wait!

I've never been to Mill. Mall,, but it sounds awsome! Bloomingdales, Macy's and loads of great exclusive stores.
I would definitely go, but I think it's a very expensive mall.

Florida Mall - have been there many times - and it's BIG.
There are many stores: Saks, Nine West, Victoria's Secret and many more.
Many stores are affordable and great!

So...the bottom line is: GO TO BOTH !!

The Florida mall to me is closer to WDW to get there by public transportation it would involve a couple of transfers

The Florida Mall is bigger and it's got some very nice stores, especially since it was extended a few years back. The Mall at Millenia is upmarket (but not stuffy) and shiny new! The designer stores are mixed up with the regular ones. I can't imagine visiting Orlando and not doing both, but if I had to choose it would be the Mall at Millenia - it's an experience in itself and, in my opinion, the eating options are better.

Where are you staying? I'm sure any hotel which provides transportation will be including the Mall at Millenia now.

Actually, the Mall at Millenia would probably be quickest to get to from WDW because it is right off of I-4 at Conroy Road. You can see it from the highway.

The Florida Mall is about 3-4 miles east of I-4, if you take the Sand Lake Road exit. The two malls are really very close to each other (less than 15 minutes), as the crow flies. I suppose it depends on what you are interested in doing.
