For me, it's the memories I have of our foster kids. it's reading a book or seeing a good movie. girlie things like manicures, afternoon tea and gossiping. and more lately -- Paul Giamatti (always manages to put a smile on my face).

So what is it that makes you smile?

To the OP: I am sorry, but I see this thread heading down trainwreck lane... :confused3

There are some strange things that have been happening lately in these threads... just a warning! :cloud9: :goodvibes

Differs daily. Today it was DH and I, and the two kids going to a movie together. We spend so little family time together as of late..It was nice..

Honestly though, aside from my family, it is having money in my wallet, and the OK to go shopping.

I will not start the aforementioned trainwreck. Our family is battling my mom's breast cancer along her side. In the past 18 months we have learned to cherish every day and thank the good Lord for every wonderful moment we have with mom. Our kids and their successes make me smile. We have gone through the ups and downs of raising them I wouldn't trade one single day for anything. My husband makes me smile for he has gone through this roller coaster ride at my side. No, it has not been a cake walk, but God never guaranteed that. He did guarantee that He would be with us always. Family, friends and trying to make another person's day a little cheerier makes me smile.

It's a shame. Somebody wants to start a feel good thread and then weird things happen within. But, guess stuff like that happens everyday in any situation. If it turns into a trainwreck, then so be it -- but for now, it's just a "hey, let's say something nice" thread.

Lots of things, but for the last few days it's been watching the waves roll in. I love the ocean and can't wait to move closer to it.

A nice, no-strings-attached foot massage makes me very, very happy. My cat purring on my lap. My kids laughing together. Carne asada. Pico de gallo. Watching my husband dip Oreos in a giant mug of milk. The smell of wet garden soil and earthworms. I love it when strange, wonderful questions come out of my kids' mouths. It really doesn't take a lot to make me happy.
