Hi all! I was just wondering how point trading between DVCers works. It seems that some points are tradeable and others aren't? What makes points tradeable (or transferable)?

I look forward to your help.

I thought that the points to be transferred to another member
had to be current year points and could not be banked or borrowed points. Also for SSR the points are only available after completion of contract. Anyone else any ideas?

The "Trade" in DVC Rent/Trade refers to an opportunity to "trade" a reservation at a DVC resort for a reservation at some other timeshare, condo or for some other consideration.

Members could also "trade" points by transferring DVC points to each other- subject to limitations placed on the activity by DVC rules.

To be transferable, the points must be current use year (not banked or borrowed). Any point you could use yourself and get a reservation is potentially rentable.
