What location should I request at AS Music?

Thanks to a problem with my reservation, we had to switch from Pop Century to All Star Music. We've never stayed at AS Music, so we don't know what building to request. We prefer a nonsmoking room in a quieter area that isn't overlooking a parking lot. We don't mind walking a bit further to the food court & buses, but don't want to go through a maze to get there.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, my daughter is dying to know: Does AS Music have slushies like POP does? She'll be crushed if not.

:thanks:

We liked the Calypso bldg. and as of January 06 no slushies.

First, please don't feel slighted by staying at the Music...it is our very favorite resort!

My preferance for buildings is also Calypso, but that is preferred so extra $$. As for "quiet" buildings, Country Fair is the furthest from everything, followed by Broadway and Rock Inn. Picture a snowman.... Melody Hall (food court etc...) is the hat, Calypso is the ears with the guitar pool smack in the middle of them (the nose if you will), Jazz are directly below Calypso with Rock Inn being one hip, Broadway the other and Country Fair the bottom. The piano pool is in the center of the bottom ring of buildings, like the belly button!

BTW, can you tell it's snowing here and I am home from work due to a snow day...in APRIL!!! But I digress....

I would suggest Country Fair as I've heard folks say it's the quietest, but then I've never had a problem with noise in Calypso. I always just request 3rd floor and it's been as quiet as any other hotel I've stayed at. Good luck and have fun!

I've stayed at ASMu a few times (also my favorite value) and the section I like best is Broadway. It's always quiet, but close to the piano pool - not too far out.

Second choice would be Jazz, but in the back, away from the noise from the main pool.

Will be back there next month and put in a request for Broadway.

HTH!!! :upsidedow

pat fan,

I think your analogy of the layout of All Star Music as a snowman is an excelent way to help someone visulize All Star Muisc. :thumbsup2

OP....
If you want a quieter area overlooking a parking lot I would suggest the Rock Inn section or the Broadway section.

Country Fair is at the back and it overlooks a wooded area.

Here is a map of Music:

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

I know this is a bit late, but someone might find use in it. We stayed at the country fair building in as music and the only complaint we had was it so such a far walk to the food court and buses.(walk maybe 5 min.) We loved the room, the closeness to the piano pool, and the walk really was not that bad except when we were coming home at night after spending all day walking in the park...very tiring. Next time I will probably opt for preferred, but after reading some reviews I'm a little nervous about the noise.

When I first read this today without looking at the date I thought. OMG where in the US is it snowing? I wanna go there. I live in sweltering South FL we get the worst of both world (Heat and Humidity).

Country is quiet and maybe a bit of a walk but I think the walk is a beautiful one. The courtyards leading to the main pool. Just lovely.
