What little minor thing at WDW do you get a kick out of?

I love entering through the international gateway before EPCOT opens, and walking through EPCOT or MK after closing, when most of the people have left, it's so peaceful and usually there is not a long line waiting for the busses any more.

Even to this day, after countless trips and teenagers who act like they don't care...we still start clapping and cheering and honk our horn when we pass under the Disney arch as we enter the property. This is the official start to our many wonderful family times together. Its corny and silly but I have the feeling that my kids will be doing the same thing with their children. It is such a beautiful moment of promise and happiness. (even when we are coming to WDW to escape a hurricane!)

I love that people are so willing to strike up a conversation while waiting anywhere. I've spoken with so many people from so many places. Simple conversations, but enough to make you think of that person later in the day and smile hoping they are having nearly as good of a time as you are. I wish it was that was in non-Disneyworld.

We do that too! My kids duck everytime we do it, but they love it!

Even though I already posted I have to add that we absolutely love to stay after illuminations is over in Epcot & listen to the music as most people rush to the exit. It is just so peaceful & relaxing as I finish off my frozen margarita! :teeth:

Nope -- you are all wrong!!!

Oh yeah! This is great! This is what I wake up to every morning!!! :sunny: Sure puts me in a great mood at the start of every day!

Here is what I love:
I am the type of lady that will wait for a parade or stage show for HOURS if I have to, just to get the right spot. Well, usually, there is some little family with a small child who get to the parade a little too late and can't see. (Get ready for the corniness) I love to invite them up closer and talk to them and see how their faces fill with magic. I feel guilty hogging it all to myself...
One time I invited a family to come cram in next to me and the little girl (who really didn't know who I was) sat in my lap the whole parade and we pealed with laughter every time we saw a girl character go by. I wasn't expecting that at all-and her parents and I were nearly crying at how delighted she was. (I cry way too easily at WDW-even with complete strangers).
I love how people are so kind to each other in the parks. Sure, there are those burnt out, rude ones- by they are far outshadowed by the kindness other people give.
Ahh, magic.

I love watching someone who is watching "It's Tough To Be a Bug" for the first time, especially the older crowd.

I tell you what there is so many things that make me the happyest person ever there it's hard to say, but if i must it's got to be the castle the firt time you walk in to magic kingdom, it sends shivers down my spine.

- Taking someone to WDW that has never been and seeing thier reaction to everything, while showing off my superior DIS knowledge :rotfl2:

-Frozen bananas

-getting all my ADRs for when I want them, especially those character meals

-when a CM notices one of my kids and gives them special attention

-finding a character all by themselves so we get some play time with them

-Beating the masses at rope drop!

In September we were walking up to the Haunted Mansion and one of the CM's told a little boy "Don't go in there. It's haunted!" The poor little boy, he had the worst look of terror on his face. Luckily his Mom calmed him down enough for him to get on. I saw him exiting the ride and he was all smiles. :goodvibes

For me, it's the little things that absolutely make Disney magical!

One I haven't seen mentioned - I LOVE the pages you hear as you ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority! "Paging Mr. Tom Morrrow", "Please keep forward facing tentacles in the car at all times," etc. They always crack us up, even though we've heard them a million times!

I love waking up at the Boardwalk or the Wilderness Lodge to the sound of the Disney boats tooting their horns. What a great wake up sound!

And, though it's been mentioned several times, for me, the the ultimate Disney experience is Future World after dark - the sparkle lights in the pavement, the Fountain of Nations all lit up and dancing, that incredible music. To me, that feling is even more "Disney" than seeing the castle!

The drive under the arch the first day, the first view of the castle up Main St each trip, the monorail "spiel" (except the last one of the trip), all the quiet and out of the way places to relax while DD and DH do wild rides, details like all the things in the sidewalks, and the road signs: like Mickey buckle up" and the billboards like the stinky bug (DD's fave!). :earsboy:

:wizard:
:earsboy: :earsgirl: princess:

I love standing in the water in the wave pool, and then hearing that "woomp" sound as the wave begins, and the delicious anticipation as you wait and wait and then - whoosh - the wave comes right over you. I love that!!

One of the cars in Dinoland has a Connecticut plate. Being from CT, we crack up because we have Dinosaur State Park here -- one of the largest dino track exhibits in the U.S. Not sure if the Imagineers did this on purpose -- making that connection -- but it wouldn't surprise me.

I get a kick out of this sign. What the people are doing in it just looks so ridiculous. My brother and I always have to mimic it whenever we first get on a ride. :rotfl:

any seinfeld fans would recognize it as "elaine" dancing :rotfl:

Even before we get into the Park, we get a kick out of finding out what car park we will be in.

i love any "little" thing that makes you think about how carefully thought out everything at Wdw is from the pinecone waffles at wcc to the view sitting at the french bakery at night and looking down the street toward fw.

also almost anyplace after dark, mk, mgm, dtd, ws, strolling the resort grounds, has such a special "feel" to it that i really can't say i've encountered that feeling anywhere else. not sure what makes it feel that way, guess it's all the combined "little things"

Oh alright, I'll go on... :cool1:

11. Taking time to stop and chat with various CMs. Always find out interesting stuff and the cool stuff which is happening. Do give it a try.
12. Riding in the front of the monorail. I know, many people do it but many people don't realize you can do it.
13. Character breakie at Chef Mickey's. More characters, spending more time at your table. Probably the best breakie buffet I've ever had.
14. Any of the parks after a good soaking rain. Nice and empty.
15. The Mayor walking down Main Street.
16. Getting to the airport to leave for WDW.
17. Mickey wakeup calls. (I'd forgotten those!)
18. Fast Pass...
19. Hanging out in MK waiting for everyone to leave then talking with the CMs.
20. The Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island.
