i like the range of the 28-135 as well as a walk around. i usually take that on the camera, then in the bag my 70-200 and 10-17. but usually i use the 28 or 200..i really like details( which is why i really like the 200, i can get nice close up shots with it from 4 ft away) more than overall views though so part of it depends imo on what you like to shoot and where you are going. the only thing i don't care for on the 28 is the lack of good low light capabilities but you can't have everything for a "budget" price
just wondering though unless i missed it, what don't you like about the 28-80 you have? and i think canon is coming out with a new ??-200 in the fall that would be more of a walk around if it's a decent lens and give you more distance.[/QUOTE
The 28-80 is great except that I would like it to be a little wider for better panoramic/overall shots in the parks etc...I'm not to concerned about the distance for now, however the fall is good timing for Canon to come out with a new lens as my next trip is in late Nov!
