What kinda luck have you had????

What kind of luck have people had renting a room from a resort other than their home resort at the 7 month marker?
Would you say you had better luck in certain season's such as Adventure or Choice?

We have done this with success. We have points at OKW and VWL. For this summer we have reserved a BW standard view one-bedroom at seven months. We did this successfully two years ago, but were waitlisted for about two weeks before it came through. That reservation was for late June, this year we are going in mid-August. I was surprised to get the standard view on the first try. My DD age 10, who really hates clowns, pushed to stay at BW this time due to the slide at the pool(!) We also love the location at BWV, and the possibility of seeing Epcot fireworks from the room.

We always go during high point vacation periods so we always try to plan 11 months ahead. But this year a relative decided to join us for Christmas at VWL and we were able to get a studio at the 7 month mark. We were very surprised.

We were able to get this upcoming Vero Beach stay at 6 months out. Next year my spring break falls the week before Easter, I don't know if we"ll be as fortunate, but I will try at 7 months.

No problem at BCV in Sept at 2 mos or BWV in May at 6 1/2 mos. Never had prob with OKW.
