I am just getting into coupon-ing! I am using a little file box, but I have seen people with binders. How do you set those up? I saw some on eBay, but they are like $30! Is there any better way to set one up?

I jist got a small binder and put baseball sheets in it. Then I got a zippered pouch to put the coupons I use in there so when I check out they are right there. You can put your shopping list in the front on the outside. Maybe 6 dollars total.

Thank you so much!! Where do you get the baseball sheets?

I got a 13 section plastic binder (small) from the Target Dollar section and put each month on the first 12 sections and left the 13th section for misc. I file my coupons by the month they expire. If there are any coupons left by the first of each month, I throw the previous month's expired coupons away.

I have a 3 ring, zippered binder that I got from Walmart. I paid under $10 for it. It has a zippered pocket with a velcro closure in front with a place to put pens, paper, calculator and a small pair of scissors. Inside it has an accordion file pocket on one side where I can put whole coupon inserts or sales ads. Plus, there is a zippered pouch where I put the current coupons I'll be using. And I use the baseball sheets to organize my coupons as well as page dividers. And you can zip the whole thing up so no coupons will come spilling out. Oh, and it has a handle on the spine so it makes it easy to carry.

Thanks everyone for all the ideas and info! I am growing out of my little file box and I think it would be easier to see them all at once.

This is great info! AND I can dig out DS old pokemon binders and get the extra pocket inserts from it (clear baseball card holders), so I don't have to buy new ones! awesome. :cool1:

OK. One more question. I found the baseball sheets (9 pockets per page) at Target today. Where do you find ones with fewer and larger pockets?

I just threw out my three-ring binder and baseball card holder sheets. My coupons never fit properly into the sheets and the binder was too large to carry.

The binder with the zipper and accordion file sounds interesting. Can you post a pic pls?

I buy the coupon booklet from Current Catalog. They are set up by catagories and small enough to fit in my purse and in the seat of the shopping cart.

I bought my zippered binder from Target and my pocket sheets online from "mom saves." (ETA: She has different size sheets, which work nicely with all the different size coupons out there. I had trouble getting my coupons to fit in the baseball card sheets too.)

I spent a little more than I wanted putting this binder together, but it is nice being able to view all of my coupons without having to pull them all out of the little pocket organizer I had before.

I bought this one: http://couponclutch.com/products/Cats_On_The_Beach_Coupon_Clutch_Binder-38-0.html
Yes, I know a bit pricey. But I've tried it all-couponzier (too small), file box (too messy), big 4" case-it binder (too big & bulky). I :lovestructhis one. I figured with all the money I've saved couponing over the past couple of years, it's worth it for me. It makes me even more excited to go shopping. I love that it's just like a bag then you open it up to all my baseball sleeve pages loaded with coupons. I put sheet protectors in the front to hold my shopping lists & a zippered pencil pouch to hold scissors, pens, etc.

You can always just start out with a cheaper binder & just work your way up. As far as the different size pages, you can use sheet protectors & a food saver (if you have one) or I've even heard of people sewing the sheet protectors on a sewing machine. I ordered mine from momsaves when I first started.

Good luck & happy couponing! :thumbsup2

I have been using a photo album for my coupons. Since it is designed for 4x6 pictures, the slots are large enough for every coupon. But the pages are starting to rip out, so I'm tossing around the idea of buying one of the mom saves binders.

I started with a binder and baseball card sheets, but clipping and organizing coupons drove me crazy! I just keep the whole insert and file them by date, and then only clip the coupons I need. I have a few coupon databases I check when I'm ready to go shopping and another list helps me know when to throw out the inserts because all the coupons have expired. I like this system much better, it's a better use of my time than clipping so many coupons and then trying to cram them into the small pockets.

I hope you find something that works well for you, I did like the coupon binder that looked like a tote, it's a neat idea.

I am a couple months into couponing and it can overwhelming. I also use a three ring binder (3 inch) with baseball cards sheets. I have purchase to set. I also use the dividers with tabs that are labeled similar to grocery aisles. Fruit/ veggies, cereal, baking, etc... Pocket for scissors pens. And recently added a place for store specific coupons (krogers, meijers, target, etc) This saves a lot of time when planning shopping trips and shopping. I always take it into the stores, learned the hard way.

My husband could not believe I was spending a couples hours each week couponing and organizing. But then I started showing him my savings and he is on board. His first question now is how much did you save?

Good luck.
