What kind of candy are you giving out for Halloween?

I’m late I getting our candy this year. Partly because I didn’t want it sitting around the house. So, I’ll be passing out whatever I can find about 200 pieces of. Definitely something chocolate. And I try to have some non chocolate option for kids who might have allergies, etc.

We do full size bars.
Mixture boxes from Costco.....but ours is out of them now.
I got one more box at Sam's today.
So we have M&Ms, Snickers, Reese's cups, Milky Way, Skittles, Hershey's bars with and without almonds, 3 Musketeers, Starburst....maybe some others.
We also do bags of none candy........with little toys and PlayDoh in them

We get the mini chocolate bar boxes from Costco and hand out a couple per child.

Last year we didn’t hand out due to Covid and I was working night shift so I have no clue how many we will get this year. In the past, We usually get 60-70 kids

We've got a plethora of different chocolates bars, Swedish Berries/Fish, bags of Doritos, popcorn and chips. :)
I'm probably going to need more at the rate we've been going through them this week though. lol
Haha! Same here. It’s my youngest daughter’s 4th birthday tomorrow so I made a few goodie bags from our Halloween candy to send it to school. There are only 9 kids in her class. My older kids (17,16,13) found my stash and have been “secretly” treating themselves. I am having 3 little cousins over for pizza and cake in the evening so that will be 3 more goodie bags. I might be handing out hand sanitizers at the rate I am going😆
ETA: handing out regular candy and mini chocolates. Both bags I bought at Costco. They have quite a variety in there.

We are giving our full-sized bars this year for the first time and I am so excited!!! I always wanted to be THAT house! (We bought mixed boxes so m&ms, Kit Kat, reeses, snickers, Milky Way, and Hershey’s bars.) We also have the six count packs of Oreos we got at Sam’s for those who prefer cookies to candy (which were actually half the price of the candy bars!) I did the math and since usually you give out 2-3 of the little bars, it is actually cheaper (depending on what you buy) to give out one full sized bar and much more exciting for the kids.

I forgot to add we do have small boxes of Halloween stickers and small Halloween bubbles that we will give to the preschool set until we run out of them (they are leftover from past years that I would like to get rid of and I figured parents of preschoolers might appreciate a candy alternative.)

Oooh chips are a great idea!

First time for me too, I’m kinda excited as well

Full bars! Got the chocolate variety with Snickers, M&M's, Milky way etc and then the fruity box with Haribo, Sweetarts ropes, Airheads rainbow belts. Also have small bags with a glow item, rubber spider, whistle. We are the obnoxious house with the strobes and loud music but we've got a reputation to maintain. Just hoping the weather is better than last year, I don't want leftover bars.

For a few years we gave out special Halloween edition Devil Dogs that had orange filling. Everyone loved them, but I can no longer find them anywhere. I think I might‘ve seen orange filled Ring Dings this year, but I didn’t make a decision right then.

I have given out full size bars before, but I don’t like to be stuck with them. We don’t get as many as some of you get.

So this year we are giving out Muddy Buddies (sorry so big!):

616695

So far I’ve bought two small bags of Twix to have “on hand” in case we run out, but both are gone already, lol.

BTW I saw larger bags of Muddy Buddies at Dollar Tree back in early Sept. I almost bought a bunch then to give out for Halloween, but didn’t, but then I saw these at Stop n Shop and bought two boxes. I like them if we don’t use them all. ;)
