What items must you absolutely take with?

I pack using gallon size zip top baggies. I throw the whole box in our luggage, and they really come in handy. We also throw in a couple of empty garbage bags for dirty clothes.
Spray deoderant
iPod and photo transfer stuff
sunburn gel and plenty of sunscreen
messenger bag
water bottle straps and spray bottle
PassPorter

i do this too!!!I also use the same aftersun lotion every trip for the same reason.

What aftersun lotion do you use? I'm going to try that too.

i just get one from avon, the smell always reminds me of disney :cheer2:

We bring a lot of the items listed, but my top 3 would be.
1. Walkie talkies for my teenagers.
2. Pin lanyard from previous years, we've quite a collection
3. Digital camera and extra batteries. I had to buy batteries for my camera one year in MK. ouch!!! couldn't believe the price

1. Crystal Light individual packets for my water bottle (I hate the taste of water so these come in handy being sugar free!)
2. Wet Wipes
3. Zip-top baggies
4. More than half gone shampoo/conditioner so I can just throw it away and have more room in my suitcase for flight home
New this year:
5. Over the door shoe hanger from Bed Bath and Beyond
6. Digital camera (I know, I'm just getting with the times)
7. New bag from ebags.com (brand called ful, style Peabody xsmall) for the parks
8. TourGuideMike :teeth:

Camera
Sun Block
Body Glide - I've used this my last two trips and it works wonders. I always would get blisters on the bottom of my feet and they were very painful. However, since I started applying Body Glide to the bottom of my feet each morning no more blisters. It works wonders! You can get it at most local sporting goods stores.

ADR #s
Softlips Lip balm
handi wipes
laptop/d. camera :surfweb:
extra luggage bag
power strip
;)

I never leave the house without my notebook full of all my hotel, flight, and car rental confirmation numbers and information as well as all our ADR #'s and a basic itenerary (not like I'd forget it - I mean I have been planning for the better part of 6 months now)

Also - don't forget:

1. pillowcases - they take up very little space - and you know they are clean - just make sure not white ones

2. A good book for the flight or nights when you can't sleep

3. Garbage bag for dirty laundry and such

4. Prescriptions - its suprising how many people forget stuff like this - it is so routine in your daily life - you don't even think about it - for me - my BCPs - can't forget those!!! I really don't need to come back with "a little souvineer" :rolleyes1

I can't go to WDW without spf lip balm! I need to bring like 7 lip balms in case I lose them!Dh thinks I am nuts!
Other must haves... digital camera, magazines, & hand sanitizer gel

I haven't been to Disney World in about 6 years!! So I am definitely going to bring most of the items that everyone mentioned here. I can't wait to go back. :yay:

Mosquito Spray for May-Nov. After that, you shouldn't need it. ;) Extra Film and buy a NEW battery for Camera BEFORE you go, whether it needs one or not. Body Lotion, and also some Hydrocortisone Creme in case you get those "Red Splotches" on your legs, from the sun reflecting Off the concrete. :p

I can't believe only one other poster said their pillow! I take mine every where. Had to go buy a space bag when we were flying to MN for Christmas so it would fit in my suitcase. :teeth:

After or most recent trip, I am a firm believer in Dr. Scholls memory foam insolls for my sneakers no foot aches compared to "I'm dyin' ovah heyah" in all our other trips.

Also we germ and virus-proof our selves with Airborne, olderless garlic tablets, Vitamin C and Multivitamins. There's nothing worse than being sick on or before vacation or coming back with an unwanted souvenir . With all those crowds, you need super immunity. My big strong DH refused my regimend and of course became sick with the flu during our March trip (March is the worst because of the fluctuating weather). People were hacking and coughing sneezing and wheezing all around us everywhere we went but we were all great except for DH. Medicines just incase such as tylenol some cold medicines, first aid stuff. Also brings some hand sanitizer.

Like many others have said bring an extra battery for your camera. Its like highway robbery at the parks.

My husband likes to bring a portable DVD player to entertain the kids on the plane and some chewing gum for our ears.

I like blousy shirts because we eat a ton while down there and I don't want to be mistaken as pregnant at the end of the day lol.

The kids love Disney Dollars so we bring those for them to spend.

Our ADR list with conf. #'s and any other info relevant to our trip.

Two Cell phones.

A big bag for carrying the inevitable load of stuff we need to bring with us to the parks.

We camp at fort wilderness in our travel trailer, so it seems like I bring all of my earthly possessions along. I try to limit my kids to 3 or 4 stuffed animals apiece, though. I totally agree with bringing along the collapsible hampers - I do that every trip. I also have to have my water bottle and my soft sided cooler and a collapsible stroller at the parks (even though my youngest is 6, if she decides to walk, I use the stroller for "stuff").

Things I always bring to (IN TO) the parks:
Bubbles and color book/crayon...necessities for waiting for parades or sit down meals
pennies and quarters for the penny machines
towel
extra socks for the kids (they always get theirs wet) packed in a ziplock bag so (a) they don't get wet and(b) so I can put the wet ones in there
rain ponchos (I learned this trick through the u.g. it truly becomes a sea of yellow when it rains. I was able to keep track of my family with the pink and blue)
mini first aid kit and ibuprofen or tylenol
DD's blankies
A few pens, in case I need to write something down, to play word games with the boys, in case we lose one of the autograph ones
gum
sunscreen
hat (for me for sure, maybe for the others, too.)
sweatshirt/pants
(Now, for the last number of years, we've traveled with a stroller, so all this stuff would fit in two smaller bags on the bottom of the stroller. Recently, when we traveled w/out the stroller and it was two backbacks.)

Things I bring with on vacation:
plastic bags for transporting wet clothes
ziploc bags for a variety of things
fanny packs for all three kids
walkie talkies
extra bathing suits (I can't stand wearing a wet one)
plastic cups (can't have glass down by the pool, and they're usually glass in the rooms)
bath toys for DD
and usually an air mattress (this saved us once, as they were "out" of two bed rooms!)
oops--edited to add---nightlight

Love this thread..............bmping up to keep it going.............

My Moleskin..............my itinerary.......................my camera and laptop

We're going to be there from May 13 - 21 this year. Do I need to take bug spray? I didn't even think of those little critters because they are not a problem here until after that - and boy do I hate to itch from bites. All brands work on my son, but I haven't found one yet that works on me. Any ideas? I always take Tylenol, Gravol, Imodium etc. I figure if I take it, I won't need it, if I don't take it, I will .

Thanks so much for the tip about Body Glide! Both DD and I have problems every year with blisters on our feet. I worry about her whenever she gets them because she's diabetic and we have to be very careful about her feet. We've tried powders, lotions, moleskin, band-aids, etc. with varying degrees of success, but nothing has ever totally prevented them. We'll give this a try in December, thanks again! :teeth:

I agree, this is a great thread:

My must haves:

1. Annual passes- we forgot them recently

2. Pal Mickey

3. Passporter

4. Camera/batteries

5. pillows

6.Ipod

What I bring into the parks:
poncho (probably a disposable one)
sun block
hat
sunscreen
mini-first aid kit with tylenol, bandaids, benadryl, etc.
sunglasses
dry socks in a ziplock bag
camera

If it doesn't fit in my fanny pack or in my pockets, it doesn't come into the park with me!

For the vacation itself, I like the idea of using a shoe bag for toiletries, etc. They have them at the dollar store....hmmmm....
