What items do you take to DVC?

We're going on our first DVC trip in October and after reading this thread I think I'd like to ship a bunch of items down to the resort ahead of time so that I wouldn't have to carry on so much stuff. How long will it take a package to reach WDW? I'm thinking I'll ship a bunch of water bottles, dishwasher soap, beach towels and swimsuits, rain ponchos and cereal boxes.

My soon to be husband can't believe I board the plane from Seattle with a carry-on bag full of cereal, granola bars, bananas and Starbucks coffee. But, hey, I'm still trying to pronounce Publix correctly.

I just posted on another board about our carry on of FOOD. I ordered from Garden Grocer but we have one designated wheeled carry on just for food. We are bringing favorites that we didnt' want to over pay at Garden Grocer for and that can pack easliy. Many things are from Costco that we enjoy here at home (dh starbucks is one too!). I was starting to wonder if security would stop us with that bag?!

Don't bother with dishwasher soap. That will be provided.

We bring snacky stuff, usually ship it ahead of time, our own laundry detergent and water.
We freeze the water in the room fridge and then carry it in our fanny packs, helps keep us cool during 4th of July heat and provides us with water so we don't drink so much soda in the Parks.
Amazing how a little frozen bottle of water against your hip willl help keep ya cool....Shawn
