WHAT AM I MISSING?????

Don't forget sunblock and sunglasses!

...and a camera with film!

A couple ziploc bags for left overs, storing wet socks, etc.

I keep it simple after years of going and I carry a fanny pack....

Sunblock
Rain poncho (disposable type in baggie)
Hand sanitizer
Clip on sunglasses made for my glasses
A small baggie with Ibruphrophen, Rolaids, Bandaides and moleskin, Mylanta tablets and Amodium Tablets
My cell phone

In my pockets I carry my wallet, lip gloss and rental car keys

If it is going to be cold in the evening we rent a locker and put our jackets in there first thing....less is better....:sunny:

... to this list we added a battery-operated misting fan on a strap and Cool-Gardie neck wraps -- indispensable in August!::yes::

We carry...
tissues, gum, wipes, small first aid kit with pain reliever, bandaids, moleskin, triple antibiotic trial size, camera, ponchos, hats, cell phone, water bottle straps, room key, car keys, small sun screen, lip balm...Last time DH and I kept all this in fanny packs. It was just the 2 of us though.
We have used the travel bags that you squeeze the air out of for carrying the ponchos in the back pack. then when it rains, we take out the ponchos and put the back pack in it. After the rain, we have a dry pack and a place to put the wet ponchos that won't drip!

It really depends on the time of the year that you go also........perhaps you do not need the change of clothes.
I have a fanny pack that I bought at Disney, it is a little larger than some but not cumbersome. The 1st zippered compartment has slots for room keys, credit cards, and a slot for money, also another zippered compartment in there to put travelers checks and more cash. The main compartment is large enough to hold my camera, cell phone, keys, a brush, small sunblock and lip balm. I also put in a couple of wet ones, or a small wet washcloth in a ziploc. Also in there I have a bottle with aspirin, tums etc. I throw a couple of band aids in also, if I need more I can replenish it in my hotel room. After many trips and adventures I find that less is better, and I don't like feeling like a pack mule. Your DH could carry one also. Of course if you have kids I guess a backpack is the way to go, unless they are old enough to carry a smaller fanny pack with some of their stuff in it. I find that if the weather is iffy and you are afraid you may get cold later on that it is a lot easier to rent a locker than to tote jackets etc. around all day.........seems when I do I don't ever end up wearing them anyways:p There are some fanny packs that have holders for water bottles.

O.K., but with kids...... What NOT to forget? ? Ours will be five when we go. And, we will have a stroller with storage underneath.
