I will be traveling to Wichita with my DH for four days for a business trip. My birthday will be during this trip and I would like a nice place to eat for dinner. It can either be upscale or just unique but with good food. I also need some ideas for things to do during the day that are in Wichita. We will be stay near the airport if that helps. Is the River Walk worth seeing? Thanks for the help!

There is a really good restaurant in the Hilton Hotel at the airport in Wichita. It has a all you can eat buffet Fri and Sat nights with good food (seafood, prime rib, salad, fruit and awesome desserts). I don't know what there is to do there except maybe tour the airplane companies?

Well that sounds like I need to bring a good book or three! We will be there from a Monday to Thursday, so no buffet. I'm not a big buffet person anyway.

Hi Castlebound  The River Walk isn't built yet so there is nothing to see there. We have an unusually large selection of restaurants to choose from for a city of this size. Please PM me and I'll give you some ideas. If you are near the airport you'll want a car as there isn't much in that portion of the West side. The good news is it's easy to get around and get to some of the places on the East side. When will you be traveling here? There are a couple of worthwhile diversions here, and if all else fails, we have some stellar
state-of-the-art movie theaters(seriously). Please let me know how I can help. :)
