What is your WDW area of expertise?

OH, rinkwide, I forgot to tell you that I think you may have my husband beat. Loved the video. Told him he has to play catch-up now. He said :scared1:

All of the above and much more (sad that so much neat stuff is gone forever :( )

Since being converted to DVC, my expertise would have to be finding new ways to spend all that saved dough on "enhanced" WDW visits! -trust me, it CAN be done! :teeth:

I am a PRO at spending far more money than I ever imagined in far less time than I ever thought possible!!! If anyone needs tips on this...just call me!!!!

;)

Beca

P.S. Rinkwide...you are SOO cool!!!

Too funny :rotfl: :rotfl:
MY DH thinks that I'm the expert at spending.

I'd say beating the lines is my area of expertise. Number one piece of advice (tip of the hat to Bob Sehlinger, author of the unofficial guide) ARRIVE EARLY, ARRIVE EARLY, ARRIVE EARLY. Did I mention arriving early?

But there are ways to arrive later and avoid most waits also. :goodvibes :cool1:

In just two trips to THE WORLD I have located and christened each and every restroom all while balancing a turkey leg and a beer! Now thats talent!

Pool Hopping, and the water parks!!!

Can't wait for the water roller coaster coming at BB.

I have one for you. Do you remember a swan boat ride near Cindy's castle? DH swears he remembers this, but no one has confirmed it.

I have two of the MK guides from our first trip in 1973. I have scanned them and can post them if anyone is interested. It includes the Swan boats. I think it even has a picture of them. I know have at least one guide with the pics. It includes the Skyway and 20,000 leagues. There was no Space Mtn then. No splash mtn or Pirates or Thunder Mtn.

I guess my expertise would be

WDW before 1980 (I know I took at least 50 trips from Miami during that time).

My other area is actually getting my wife to go there on a trip!! That's where our DVC points come in REAL handy. What can she say? It's already paid for!

That would be really cool to see those early guides!! I think I remember when Pirates was 'new', but not Space Mountain. Definitely remember the building of Splash and Thunder.

Absolutely there was the swan boat ride. If you stand at the edge of tomorrowland and look toward the castle, look down toward the water and you'll see what was the original ride attraction loading dock. It's now just a place to sit and rest.

I don't know if you still can, but years ago, if the water was clear, you could stand at the dock and still see the underwater tracks for the swan boats.

Now for more recent history, who remembers the original boat ride at AK? It didn't last long, I think less than a year. And now the loading docks are simply character greeting areas. It took you around the island, past sprouting geysers, and under the pedestrian bridges.

EVERY Restroom? Does that mean Men's and Women's?

Better cut back on those beers.... :teeth:

We're foodies, I'd say we have pretty good knowledge of the many diverse restaurants, their menus and their wine lists.

I remember this. There was a CM on board that had animals and insects in plastic cages, they would walk around telling you about these animals/insects.

Oh good an expert to ask - have they stopping smoking in there yet? I really want to go but can't if there is smoking!

Thanks!

I have a confession to make. I walked into a Men's room once. :rolleyes1 Oopsie. It was after I had something questionable at the F&W that eventually made me quite ill for 24 hrs and assured that I visited every restroom in Epcot. I know them all know.

So I was just kind of running in and the Men's room was on the right.

Well, here at work, the Ladies room is on the right. So I just went with the auto pilot.

I booked it out of there pretty darn fast!

Umm that may be quite a wait, because they are building it at TL. (Unless they are doing one at BB too, but right now it's only TL!)

As of December, there was still smoking at Jellyrolls, and I'm assuming that is still true. I've talked to the piano players about that one--at least one agrees they should make it non-smoking.
