What is your strategy for touring EPCOT?

This is what we did in August: We stopped at Soarin' and got fast passes first thing, then went on Living with the Land. Then we headed to "the big ball" and went on that, and by now it's time for Soarin'. After Soarin' we go to Test Track and get fast passes. We had 3 hours to wait before the fast passes were valid, so we went back to the Yacht Club, swam, had some lunch, and then headed back to Epcot for our Test Track ride.

We usually do EPCOT over 2 days. We do FW and normally hit TT and M:S first, but will probably go to Soarin and pick-up fastpass (and hopefully ride), then going to head over to TT and M:S, then back over to Seas pavilion, imagination, etc. We'll hit SE on our way out of the park.
We do the countries on a separate day (sometimes over 2 evenings) and don't usually find a line for those rides. It's a great way to relax in the evenings.

Hope this helps.

PLease share your startegy for touring Epcot. What rides do you ride first?
Yes, I need this answer too. I will be there in 17 days and I am starting my day at EPCOT but ending at Magic Kingdom. I want to spend the morning at EPCOT from opening until about 12:30.

We (now) get FP for soarin, ride if short wait, do Imagination ( my kids LOVE this ride, not sure why) and Honey i shrunk the Audience, Living Seas, Spaceship Earth, then to the other side, Ellens Universe of Energy (aka my 42 minute nap) M:S, we usually try and do TT at some point, but it depends on when the FP are available- of course our return to Soarin depends on what our return time is! After that it's off to Mexico for a Margharita and a ride on El Rio Del Tiempo, and a stroll around the World Showcase. We spend a lot of our trip time at Epcot, so we have a chance if there is a line to skip an attraction and hit it later.

Make sure you are there before opening, and get in line. I'm going to give you my strategy based on a solo traveller. If you're with a friend or your family, this changes, but I'll save that for later:

- Head directly for The Land. Ride Soarin'. DO NOT get a fastpass for Soarin' if you're there first thing in the morning.

- Exit Soarin', and ride Living With The Land.

- Head over to Test Track and obtain a fastpass.

- Head to Mission:Space (if it doesn't make you sick), and ride.

- Exit Mission:Space (throw up like I did) and head over to Journey Into Imaginatoin. Ride.

- Use fastpass for Test Track.

- Should be close to 11:00 at this point. If not, spend some time at Innoventoins.

- At 11:00, go to World Showcase. Ride El Rio De Tiempo in Mexico.

- Go to Norway, and ride Maelstrom.

- Go to China, see Reflections Of China.

- Should be close to lunch by now. Make lunch reservations for 12:00 before you leave home at World Showcase (Italy, Japan and Morocco are all very good.)

- Spend some more time at World Showcase, seeing movies in Canada and France.

- When you're done there, head over to the Living Seas. Try to see Turtle Talk with Crush.

- Cross over to Universe Of Energy (and take a nap if you're tired.)

- Go to Spaceship Earth and ride.

I usually am able to do this stuff all by 4:00. Then you just need to decide, dinner reservations and Illuminations at Epcot, or someplace else for the evening.

We planned a day (6 hrs or so) at Future World, and then took a break at our resort and went someplace else for dinner and evening activities. Then we planned a 2nd day centered on World Showcase. We still went to Epcot at 9:00 AM (WS doesn't open until 11:00) and hit a few more FW things (repeated Test Track and Soarin') and then headed to WS for the rest of the day and evening. It was a nice, relaxing day as we made our way around the World. We took in a lot of shows/rides in the countries, but didn't get them all in. We had supper at LeCellier, and then shopped until time for IllumiNations. Can I go back soon?

Soarin, then Test Track(fast pass if longer then 20min), Mission Space, Universe of Energy for a break, Figment, Living Seas, Spaceship Earth, then Lunch, and tour around World showcase starting in Mexico.

Here's my plan for Epcot this January. We will be spending one afternoon/evening and one full day/evening there.

Day 1- arrive around 3pm. Get FP for TT, then do M:S. Do Innoventions for a while, then ride TT. Ride SE, then do Seas w/Nemo. Do Imagination and maybe HISTA. At around 7pm, head to World Showcase- Canada side. Do Canada film, and walk around there and UK. ADR for R&C at 7:50pm. Watch Illuminations from R&C.

Day 2- arrive for park opening. Get FP for Soarin' (should be for less than an hour later), then ride Living with the Land. If time, head over to Seas and see Turtle Talk. Then do Soarin'. Redo any of the Future World attractions we feel like- DD LOVES SE. At 11am or so, head to Mexico. Do lunch at Cantina De San Angel. Ride El Rio del Tiempo. Ride Maelstrom. Spend the rest of the afternoon catching various shows and bands around WS. See China and France movies. 6:30pm ADR for Biergarten. After dinner, head toward FW- redo anything we missed or want to ride again. Leave park before the crowds.

FW in the morning with the major attractions, lunch at Alfredo's at the earliest possible time(usually Noon). Wander around WS, head back to FW and do some serious shopping at MouseGear, exit park.:earsboy: For Illuminations, we would enter WS in time for dinner, watch the show, and exit.

My December strategy (family of 4, 2 small children):
We plan on going 2 mornings and one evening

1st Morning

Get FP for Soarin'
Ride new Nemo Ride, explore pavilion.
See TTWC at 10am
Ride Soarin' (baby swap with my son)
Ride LWTL
Runner gets FP for Test Track (probably me) while Daddy goes in Journey Pavilion with kiddos
Ride JII (Skip HISTA -too scary for kids)
Ride Spaceship Earth
Eat Lunch
Ride Test Track when return time hits and explore Innoventions. I might get in single rider line for Mission Space.
Return to hotel for a break around 2-3pm

Return to Epcot 4-5pm - Tour WS until Dinner, Illuminations.

2nd Morning: See whatever we missed or really liked the first morning.

These all sound like great plans. I had no idea Epcot took that long to get through. We are doing 1 day before our cruise and 2 days after the cruise at WDW. The day before I had planned on doing Epcot. I guess we'll need to do on of the days after the cruise again at Epcot and then 1 day at the Magic Kingdom. We also doing MVMCP one evening after the cruise as well.

We don't have time for MGM or AK. I'll have to work on my plan for Epcot using some of the great ideas here.

Thanks!

etner through main gate, get fastpass for soarin, ride soarin, go to tt, and get in line and ride it, when done grab fastpass, head back to soarin and ride it with your fastpass, do journey into imagination, get in line for mission space, ride tt with fp, see ellen, do the seas, do the land if you feel like it, do spaceship earth, and go back to your hotel and hang out. lots of criss crossing, but if you are up for it, you can see alot with minimal waits.
