What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

Ooh how did you like going on a cruise by yourself for two weeks? I am planning on going on a cruise to Norway by myself one day, but I've never gone on a cruise, so I'm a bit afraid to go two weeks, so instead I want to try out just one week at first.

I've flown by myself to Orlando from Amsterdam, but met up with a friend there. But I went on a solo trip to NYC from Amsterdam in 2017 for 11 nights. If all goes according to plan I will go on my second solo trip to NYC, also 11 nights, in January and I can't be more excited. My first solo trip to NYC was literally my dream trip and I loved being by myself there.

I just went! I paid the additional fee for solo travel. Being on a cruise is the safest solo trip on the planet! I loved it. Made lots of new friends.

If they paid me to eat Dominos Pizza and the mom and pop was $15/slice, I would go get 12 slices at the mom and pop for $15 a slice, LOL.
I don't think I have ever had Dominos to be honest. Or Little Casears. But I just don't understand the price difference.

3:45am : to get a RoTR boarding pass first week opening at HS. Was completely worth it.

10 years ago I was trying to figure out if I could do my job or if I would end up washing out. Fortunately the latter did not happen and my bet paid off.

I wouldn't describe my failure to become an astronaut as not being good enough, but rather that I had to start wearing glasses when I was 5. When I was a child the pathway to becoming an astronaut was first to be a pilot, and at that point you had to have 20/20 vision. Things have changed, but by the time they had my chosen career path would not have led to becoming a mission specialist.

I quit working full time 10 years ago to babysit our first grandchild. I watched her 5 days a week, 10 hours a day and 2 more granddaughters came along over the next 4 years. They’re all in school now and I still watch them occasionally and over the summer a couple days a week. I get more help now from other family members which is nice. I’m pretty much right where I planned to be.

I’m pretty much where I thought I’d be. I just had my 4th child. I am still a SAHM and DH still works for the same company. We’ve lost some family members much sooner than I expected. And some have lived longer than I expected.

I briefly thought about becoming a teacher but I really hated high school and decided college wasn’t for me. Ended up getting a job as the Purchasing secretary at a local resort halfway through my senior year of high school. I was in an office program that allowed me to leave school and work. I was able to keep that job after graduation.

I’ve never taken a solo trip. I have mixed emotions. It sounds tempting but then again kind of gives me anxiety.

When I was in elementary school we used to travel from Jacksonville, FL to Memphis, TN with just my Mom and my little brother. We had a Datsun with a piece of plywood cut to make the backseat an all one level play space that we would lay on and read and play matchbox cars and everything. When we weren't taking turns sitting up front. Times were so different back then.

I get up at 4:30 a.m. a couple of days a week when it's my turn to watch my Godson. My cousin is an EMT and has to be at the firehouse by 5:30 for her 6 o'clock shift. We try to be quiet, but my Godson has Spidey Sense and knows when the grownups are awake. He was up at 5 today, and *he* got a three hour nap at 12. I did not.
How come? :teeth: My first rule of parenting a toddler was "I nap when he naps".
