What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

Ten years ago I never would've guessed. As far as a few years ago, I figured I'd end up where I am now at some point, I just thought it'd be after the kids were grown. Glad I didn't wait another few years to let myself be happy.

Sushi/Sashimi is an interesting thing.
- I've ordered from places that give you good value for money - some combination of volume and variety, and occasionally, a free appie.
- I've ordered from places where you get a lot of salmon and surimi "crab" (which is not crab).
- And I've ordered from places that are overpriced but give you some premium cuts (like bluefin tuna belly).

Basically, it is a bit of trial and error to figure out what place is right for you.

I thought I’d be married with kids and have graduated graduate school. Has not happened yet but I still believe I’ll achieve both in the future. The unstable economy for the last 12 years has been hard in my local area. Many businesses left my town after the 2008 crash, so the covid situation has not helped. Things can only go up though.

I went on a ConTiki bus tour as a solo traveler, but that probably doesn't count.

I drove from Houston to Toronto when I moved back. That probably qualifies.

Biggest rip off is soda. It is basically water with some corn syrup and caramel coloring added. No way it is worth $3 to $4 a glass.
Being on a Little League board of directors we always debating our prices in our snack bar run by volunteers. We charged $1 for a 16 ounce soda. Our cost, less than a penny a serving, with the biggest part of the cost, the cup, NOT the soda.

Taco Bell is very overpriced now.

Yep. 2 years ago a single taco at the store near me was 99₵, now it is $1.39. A Party Pack of tacos (12) was $9.99 now it is $13.99. Not worth it!

I love Five Guys but man, way to much for that now as well.

That it was really really hard and nowwww your permanent record would begin in earnest, :teeth:

Went to the Pocono mountains when I was 8. I think it might have also been the first time I stayed in a hotel, too.
