Use to LOVE Pizza Hut until they changed how they made their Pizza. Last time I was at Pizza Hut I was on a bicycle 200 miles from my car and 400 miles from home. I made it a mile after lunch and tore a public park bathroom up, LOL.

Cookies, cupcakes etc. Cupcakes @ $7/$8 each are ridiculous! one chocolate dipped oreo is $1 at a local candy shop near me. I can buy a pack of oreos for $4 and Ghiradelli melting wafers for $4 and make 40 for $8.

Now, their handmade caramels are $2 each but sooooo good. Their caramel apples are not overpriced at $8 for a specialty apple that is loaded with toppings.

Not really big on looking ahead, take things one day at a time. Last 10 years have been very eventful. My mom passed away (not shocking at age 90 but sad). My son dropped out of college, got married started a family and proved you don't need a college degree to get a well paying job. My daughter graduated from college and after a couple of jobs, took a job where I work. My wife and I hoped we would be retired by now, by that is coming soon. Still technically early retirement since we will be 64, but not as early as we hoped.

Dominos? $7.99 that Dominos charges for a large pizza is dirty cheap there. The mom and pop places here want $25 for a large pizza. Yes, the pizza is better at the mom and pop, but NOT nearly $20 better.

That one is really weird. The one closest to me used to have a sign out in the window about the $7.99 carryout special. And it has to be carryout though. I've ordered it by phone, but usually do it through the app. I've bought in at several places, and I think franchise locations are penalized if they don't honor the special. I got one in South Lake Tahoe and took it back to my room at one of the Stateline casino hotels. Someone in the elevator asked where I got it.

I did order it once when visiting a friend. But I was hanging around waiting for it when I saw someone walk up and ask what the specials were. After the customer had ordered and walked out while waiting, I asked why didn't mention the $7.99 carryout special. The employee said that the manager didn't allow them to talk about it unless the customer mentions it first since barely make anything from that special.

We rarely do takeout but I’d say it’s our locally owned pizza place. They’re good but pricey.

10 years ago I was a SAHM of a 7 and 4 year old. I knew I would go back to Nursing which I did but thought I would go back to hospital or LTC nursing which I didn’t. In light of Covid, I am glad I didn’t. Everything else is basically the same.

Papa Murphy’s take out is ridiculously expensive- especially when you still have to cook it yourself. We don’t get it ourselves, but have friends who do and am always shocked by the cost of our portion.

We have some local places that are pricey, but given they’re freshly made, I understand.

Yeah, if you use the deals, Domino's is dirt cheap and better than most of the other chain pizza joints. Last Friday a friend said he was ordering Dominos for that night and he'd pick it up. We asked for a three topping large, and he got it. When I asked how much, he said it was 17 bucks! I was like, didn't you do the pickup deal?

Biggest rip off is soda. It is basically water with some corn syrup and caramel coloring added. No way it is worth $3 to $4 a glass.
