Never thought I’d be in this situation. My life is ok, but we’ve had many challenges the past two years (not COVID related). I never could have predicted them.
I've gone solo on a two week Alaskan cruise, a week in Thailand, a week in Laos, a week in Vietnam, Hong KOng, Kenya, and a few road trips in CA. Love solo travel!
Ooh how did you like going on a cruise by yourself for two weeks? I am planning on going on a cruise to Norway by myself one day, but I've never gone on a cruise, so I'm a bit afraid to go two weeks, so instead I want to try out just one week at first.
I've flown by myself to Orlando from Amsterdam, but met up with a friend there. But I went on a solo trip to NYC from Amsterdam in 2017 for 11 nights. If all goes according to plan I will go on my second solo trip to NYC, also 11 nights, in January and I can't be more excited. My first solo trip to NYC was literally my dream trip and I loved being by myself there.
I've never really taken a trip solo, but I have traveled solo for work, which included a lot of solo time (outside of meetings). Usually to Seattle for a weekend.
I’m not sure if these count because they are not vacations, but I did travel solo. I spent almost 2 years in Oxford, UK for a graduate school and three months at the University of Vienna for a summer program. For some thing that would be a vacation trip, I took a 6 week solo trip in the southwest US to explore the national parks from Sequoia/Kings Canyon, through Death Valley, the Arizona parks, the parks of Utah and into Colorado. It was a GREAT trip.
