Back in the day, we used to order cookies and milk from room service just because we could. Those gigantic chocolate chunks in those cookies with a cold glass of whole milk is wonderful!!!
I'm vegan now for health reasons, but man I could sure go for cookies and milk about now!!!
My main "must do" is relax by a window or on a veranda for a few hours. My vacations are usually more hectic when not cruising so it's nice to actually relax.
We love the All Hands on Deck along with some of our brought on board wine while sitting on our veranda. However, our tradition on first boarding (after we eat) is to go to the adult pool and get a drink from the Cove Bar while waiting for our room to be ready.
For my 8yo DD it is Aquaduck and Midship Detective. For me it's to take some time to watch the ocean go by in a lounge chair and realize how blessed I am to be on a Disney Cruise!!
Love this, but even better is to do this on a day when you are leaving port. Watching the land recede into the distance with a nice beverage is very relaxing.
Date night with my hubby! Even though it's our family vacation, we take one evening for ourselves. We put the kids in the club, dress up, go for a pre-dinner cocktail, eat at Palo/Remy, and have uninterrupted conversation!!! I look forward to it every cruise.
Two words...Mickey Bars!
Wait, add surprise meeting with Captain Hook in the hallway.
Aaaah, then I don't have to cook or make the bed...and I can dress/act like a pirate.
Now I'm getting antsy...only 125 days until our Alaska cruise...what does the new Wonder have in store?
I really like the Chrismas decorations and theming on the Very Merrytime cruises. Walking around the decks near the atrium in the evening with a gingerbread latte, listening to the Christmas carolers while the children are burning their last energy before bedtime, is very special to me. It adds another layer to an already wonderful experience.
