What is your one decadent splurge??

Well, since I can't pick just one, here are my favorites from the last trip that I look forward to having on the next trip this July:

1. HUGE cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery (shared this with DH)
2. Chocolate mousse in the patisserie in France at Epcot
3. School bread in Norway at Epcot
4. Dole Whip from MK (or Poly if you are at a monorail resort)
5. Mickey rice krispie treats with the chocolate ears (the lesser of the evils)
6. Mickey chocolate-covered ice cream bar

We share most of these so we don't overdo it or get too overly full. But MY Mickey ice cream bar is MINE, ALL MINE!!! "Get your own," I say to DH and the boys!!!!! :lmao:

After losing 50 pounds and knowing you are going to be doing all that walking, you deserve more than one splurge! Congratulations! I'm asking my DH (sitting next to me). His advice is the cheese cake at Mama Melrose or the milk shakes at 50's Prime Time. However, we are going to try out some of the desserts other posters have listed this time we go!! When we went last year, we ate like we'd been starved. However, after all of that walking, none of us had gained an ounce. Have fun!!!

The melted-chocolate-in-the-center lava cake at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian called Kilauea Torte is my very favorite, especially since they restored the original recipe. For a while, they made the outside of the cake like a dry chocolate chip cookie and it was bleck. Now it is all dark chocolate again, and I never miss having it when we go! I love the melted center gushing onto the plate.

They also have very good molten chocolate cakes at Shula's Steak House in the Dolphin Resort and at the California Grill in the Contemporary.

Other treats we love to have:

-Tonga Toast for breakfast in Cap'n Jacks or Kona Cafe, both at the Polynesian
-Cinnamon Roll from the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom
-Chocolate Covered Strawberries from the Main Street Candy Shop
-Mickey ice cream bar
-Chocolate Mousse Cake at bakery in EPCOT Norway (I like it even more than the chocolate mousse in the EPCOT France bakery)
-Strawberry shaved ice in EPCOT Japan, I think it's called Kaki Gori?
-Foghorn Sundae in Ghirardelli's ice cream shop in Downtown Disney; it's not on the menu, but it is a sundae with chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, raspberry sauce, whipped cream, and mini chocolate chips
-Tie Dye cheesecake at Pop Century Resort
-Mrs. Pott's ice cream in the Magic Kingdom, between the Snow White ride and Winnie the Pooh ride, either the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae or the Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae
-Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian Resort Garden View Lounge (served from 2pm-6pm)

Congratulations on your weight loss!

I'm not one for sweet stuff, but my truly decadent pleasure(s) are corn dog nuggets and fries at Casey's.

Congratulations!!!

I went to DL for the first time in june since losing 45lbs.
Now...i don't have the same problem as most people though....I can't eat 90% of the "splurge" foods. No cake, cookies, candy etc b/c of allergies.

So for me, the only real splurge is the cookies and cream ice cream sandwich.

Now, before I was diagnosed i would say anything you can get your hands on from the main street confectionary. I used to get a dozen pieces of fudge to bring home every year!!!

Congratulations and enjoy your trip! The Boardwalk Bakery has great treats: Cheesecake Brownie is great! Also, the Napoleon is delicious at the bakery in the French part of EPCOT.

Thanks everyone! I think I just gained 3 lbs reading about all of the food! It will definately be a tough choice! I plan on splurging more than once...hoping to only gain a pound or two over the 10 days...

Thanks for the congratulations...I think losing was easier than keeping it off will be!

I will let you know how it goes!

Yes to all!!!! This is making me hungry!!!

I also love the Cheesecake Brownie and also the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at Liberty Tree Tavern. :santa:

Too many to list. It's hard to call them a splurge when we get them more than once per trip. But anyways, some of my favourites:

Dole whip floats
Cappuccino float (Sleepy Hollow)
Tiramisu (just about everywhere :lmao:)
Creme Brulee
Chocolate Mousse (Boulangerie)
Iced Latte
Hot Fudge Sundae (Ghirardelli)

and many others including the desserts in the TS restaurants like the bread pudding with the banana foster sauce at 'Ohana....in a 2 week trip, I get each of these at least twice:lovestruc....I'm gaining weight just thinking about it.....:upsidedow

Used to be the chocolate chip cookie sandwich at MK. But, we bought them twice last week and both times found that Disney has reduced the chocolate in the cookies so much that you can't even really see or taste any chocolate chunks anymore. So, I'd definitely skip this.

As for what's still good, don't know since we only bought the cookie sandwiches.

As someone who has lost some weight this year myself I know how tough it can be! So congrats and totally enjoy your vacation.
Here's what I did on our vacation this past February. We were there for 10 days. Only 5 park days. I ate a dessert every night at dinner. Alot of times we shared though. I gained 3lbs over the 10 day vacation. If you come home with a gain and get right back on track it does come off fairly quickly.
If you can share desserts with someone it's a good way to cut back a bit and alot of the times the desserts are large enough to share.

A few of my favorite treats from past trips:
MK Bakery: Yummy cinnamon rolls and french toast loaf (though I guess they might have discontinued the french toast loaf :(
Almost any creme brulee at any of the restaurants are delicous!
I do have one Mickey bar on each trip!
Ohana's bread pudding is delicious if you by any chance eat there.
The ice cream cookie sandwiches at MK are delicous too!
Dole whips yum!
Zebra Domes at Bomas (you can also purchase them at Mara) looking forward to eating a few of these again when we are there in February!

Enjoy your trip and again Congrats on the weight loss!

was dinner with Wishes fireworks at California Grill. Anything on the menu can qualify as a splurge.

Congrats on your weight loss! One splurge I love at WDW is fudge -- so delish and something I wouldn't buy for myself at home.

I know it's silly, but I'm really looking forward to a Mickey shaped rice krispy treat dipped in chocolate. My kids don't like them, so I can savor every last bite.

During our next trip in May I'm looking forward to trying a Dole whip float and Zebra Domes.

Definitely the Butterfinger cupcake at Starring Rolls in DHS. Yummmmmm! Dole Whip in MK is a distant second (and probably a fraction of the calories!) but is always a must-do.

It is interesting that for most people the guilty pleasures seem to be of a sweet nature. The things that came straight to my mind are Corn Dog nuggets from Casey's Corner, Cheddar Cheese soup from the Food and Wine Festival/ Le Cellier and Fire Roasted Corn Spoon Bread from Crystal Palace.

After losing almost 30 lbs. myself my one splurge at WDW is the cinnamon rolls at the Main Street Bakery in MK. I usually get a to go container so that I can eat a little of it every day. Since I've lost the weight I've found a lot of the things don't appeal to me the way they used to like the funnel cakes, fudge, etc. Or I feel really bad (my stomach anyways, not guilty) after eating really rich things. A close second would be the sweet pretzel from the Kringla bakery(Norway). I do like the items in the France bakery and pretty much all the bakeries but I don't get things that can be easily had at home (there's just no replicating that cinnamon roll at Main Street bakery!).

My other, more healthy, snacks are the Itzakadoozie pops from the carts and the snow cone from Japan (kakigori). Yes these things still have sugar in them but they are healthier than a funnel cake or eating a cinnamon roll every day and still makes it seem like you get a treat (not to mention they are really good!).
