Here is an idea that may or maynot be helpful to light sleepers.
Often when I'm away in a hotel, the people that have different morning/evening plans than I do often forget that the other people down the hall (as they walk by) don't share the same thoughts. I've had people laughing and talking full volume if not yelling down the hall to someone else.
Ask my husband, I don't appreciate being waken up.
So when I made my reservation for a local getaway and mentioned I prefer a room on a quiet section away from any big events like weddings, she questioned my request. I explained that I pay for the hotel room too and expect to sleep and rarely do I get to sleep because someone is always making noise in the hall.
(various types of noise/reason)
She suggested I look into a white noise machine. And I did.
I found a nice flat packable one for under $20 at my local Walmart.
I will give it a test run during Labor Day weekend and plan to leave it in the suit case for Disney.
Hope this helps someone.
I found a bunch on line at Walmart.com and Amazon. All have different features and prices.
Might help that tired baby too if you are at one of the busier resorts and need a nap. Just a thought.
