What is your not so normal item to pack, which is helpful while at WDW ?

I haven't yet made my way through all the pages so this might be a repeat but I just can't eat my french fries without white vinegar!! So I bring my own little packets.

LOVE the tip about the plastic drink lids. Pure genious!

We bring our pop up hamper. Keeps the room neater and easier for doing laundry.
I also soak cut up spnges in dish soap and let them dry so we can wash out our mugs at night.

I love the idea of presoaking and drying sponges with dishsoap on them!

I apologize if this has been said but .. batteries, scissors, and a screw driver.

I bought one of those stroller fans last time... well it was in one of those stupid packages that you can't open then I needed a screw driver to open the door to get batteries in it. This wasn't the only other time either. And it took the CM forever to find a screwdriver to help me out so this time these are a MUST!

The last two years I've been taking a folding potty seat for my DD4. It folds in 4's and easily fits in a gallon size ziplock baggie! It's also very lightweight. It keeps her little hiney from falling into the potty! Plus, we don't have to worry about wiping the toilet! Every night I clean it really good and put it in a new baggie for the next day!

Got some great ideas for our next trip! Thanks to all for sharing!

Im a crazy planner (as im sure most of you are) but I create a word document with our schedule. I revolve my entire trip around where we want to eat. Make my reservations then package the rest around that. For example - if I know we are eating at LeCellier for dinner, then that becomes an epcot day for us.
I snap a picture of the document and text it to our whole traveling party. Now when we are separated or doing our own thing, everyone knows exactly what the plans are and can just meet up at the right times.


I saw lots of pop up hamper suggestions. I bring one of those reusable grocery bags for the same purpose. We always have a washer/dryer in the room so we don't need anything gigantic since we do laundry a few times.


hand sanitizer. You can never ever have enough hand sanitizer in a place with so many germs.


When my son was a baby I would send a box to our resort with diapers/wipes/baby food/bath supplies/toys before hand. I hated the idea of having to pack all of that stuff!!! It was a lifesaver. The next time we went I also sent down all of our toiletries as well as cereal, granola bars, and gum. Our suitcase was a lot lighter without all those bathroom supplies in it!!!

I print a sheet of small labels that say "If lost, please call ..." with my cell number. I stick one on the back of each of my kids' shirts in the morning before we leave.

I stick them on our cameras and backpacks and water bottles.

Essentially, everything.

I just wanted to second this. I have a 3 year old and I am scared to death that she is going to get lost. I've all ready lost her in a grocery store, so I can't imagine Disney. I am going to do the name tags or a necklace with her info on it.

I will also be bringing the monkey backpack (leash for lack of better terms) for my 18 month old because he will want to walk around, but boy they are so fast. I don't care if I get strange looks for harnessing my child!

I get these shoe ID things for my kid It's from amazon.com and its my information on a tag that wraps around his shoe laces

And when he was two I also got this thing where a Velcro bracelet wrapped around both our wrist with a little coil in between so he held my hand and if he ever pulled away to try to run which he is good at doing we would be connected and he wouldn't get far : muahaha:

This year I got a leash that just went around his wrist and i just hold the end but hell be five soon so I got it just incase and ill be using it as a threat his hand is either in mine the whole time or the leash goes on. It should work :sighs: :good vibes:

On page 26 only day two lol but I thought up something and apologize if its a repeat.

I know people mentioned scissors and moleskin but never mentioned them together so far!!!

I brought moleskin last time and didn't bring scissors. Those things don't rip at all so you need scissors to cut it to fit your ankle!!

Be very careful of this everyone if you have babies and use water bottles to mix formula. A kid died this way cause the parent screwed up the bottles of water. Very horrible mistake!!

Not sure if this could be it but we had to boil water and weren't allowed to use powder formula (only premixed) for the first month or so as a precaution since our twins were considered preemies. Something to do with their immune system and the powder formula and bottle water not beeing 100% sterile.

I must of quoted the wrong post. Someone said to bring vodka in a water bottle. A baby died because a family went camping and brought a water jug filled with vodka and a water jug filled with water with the same labels. The mom went to mix her baby's bottle with the water from the jug but accidentally grabbed the water jug filled with vodka to mix the formula powder with. The baby drank it and died from alcohol poisoning. I guess the PP just sounded to much like that other story. I just wanted to mention if you are filling water bottles with vodka to be careful.

I've never used packing cubes, but after reading through these posts, I just placed my order for 2 sets. They should be here in 3-5 days for our trip at the end of September. I'm hoping that everyone who has raved about these cubes is right.

A collaspsable hamper! And the shelf cubbies for the closet that collapses. Genius, we drive so we have space but both don't take too much room in a bag and were soooo helpful in keeping the room organized and if you are like me it dries me crazy when the 10x10 room is cluttered with 4 people's stuff! The hamper kept our girls from mixing the dirty with the clean stuff in the bag.

I like them better than any other collapsible bottle because the opening is large enough to get ice cubes in so that we can request ice waters at counter service and put the ice in these bottles to go and clip them on our belts so they will make it an hour and not be warm water!

Just bought my collapsible hamper this week, packing cubes are due to be delivered today - we only have 30 days left. Even though there were a lot of repeats in this thread, everyone had their own spin on the topic. I've learned so much as a veteran of WDW. But in 2008 we were able to transition to DVC, so that adds even more options and tips we can follow. This site/forum is fantastic! Hopefully I can come up with some tips that haven't already been posted.

I've only been to Disney once, but I brought everyone their own laundry bag (from $ store) we get 2 rooms for our family of 6 and the kids put their dirty clothes in their bag. Then when it's time for laundry it gets washed, folded and put in their respectable bags back to the room. I have to do laundry more then once with 6 people so it makes transporting back to the room a bit easier too by carrying it by the drawstring
