What is your not so normal item to pack, which is helpful while at WDW ?

Sry didn't realize it needed to be helpful. I need to read better lol....ketchup isn't really a helpful packing tip lmao

It's helpful to someone with a ketchup addiction who maybe had not though of bringing their own.

I will actually have a couple of packets of Taco Bell Fire sauce in the back-pack for the DBF who always says things are not spicy enough. If I am dragging him to Pecos Bill's for a taco salad, he will need them.

It's completely helpful for those of us who have any kind of food addiction. I've actually gone through some of the food reports to see if I need to pack any condiments. I love blue cheese dressing & mayo. :hyper:

I second the hockey jersey idea! Wore mine to Hershey Park before and it was quite windy... I was very happy with how it worked. :) Now, if only my team could get a goalie...

I sell Scentsy, so I ALWAYS have to have something there. I bring a Scent Tin in my suitcase and then just pop it open once we hit the hotel. It's a lot nicer to smell that then general hotel smell. :)

Extra stick of deodorant to bring into the park. You will stink after the 6th hour, plus it works wonders for chafing.

I can't believe I just spent three days reading all 90 pages of this thread! So many useful tips that I never would have thought of. I have a list that is 3 pages long to review! Thanks for sharing, so excited for September trip! :)

I know what you mean! My WDW list got a lot longer after reading these great ideas! My favorite is the power strip! All 5 of us have phones, iPads, cameras, and iPods to charge and there are never enough electrical outlets.

My husband likes to bring props for photos ex: on Dinosaur the picture from the ride showed a bunch of people screaming and DH looking very intrigued by the Hidden Mickey book he was reading... and on TOT he's in the photo holding a Mickey doll and a giant lollypop crying! He's kind of a nut.:rotfl2:

I think we are married to the same nut errrr man! My husband does this too. He also poses the kids. I have a poster of them on EE doing hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Laugh a minute!

Since I always make a binder up of our trip with divisions for maps, reservations, car rental, airline confirmations, attractions we want to see, etc., I put in some extra clear sheet protectors/envelopes to put our receipts in or whatever else we want to save. That way everything is in the binder. Very handy.

I haven't looked for printable envelopes for this, but I've taken to purchasing Disney gift cards to "prepay" meals, souvenirs, etc.

I then figure out an estimated cost for each meal, and put an appropriate number of GC's in an envelope labeled with that day/restaurant. (I say appropriate number, because I'm able to buy $25 GC at Sam's Club for $24.75 - not much of a savings but it all adds up). For example, I have Crystal Palace breakfast figured at about $60 for 2 people, so 3 GC in the CP envelope.

The left over amounts on the cards are then used for tips (if I underestimated the amount of the meal) or extra souvenirs.

It just helps me budget better.

The most important things that I take every time are the power strip to charge more things in one spot. A tooth brush holder with suction cup for the mirror to keep them up and away from the sink. Laundry detergent, and a collapsable laundry hamper.

Don't forget the crystal light(lemonade) for the vodka in water bottles. Makes for A very magical experience!!!!

First time poster here, but life-long Disney lover! :) First trip in 70s. Many trips between then and now. :) Going back next month, woot woot!

I have made it half way through the thread but haven't seen this and wanted to post it now in case I forget later, lol.

To keep stud/ball earrings, rings or other tiny items like that from getting lost in a jewelry pouch or your purse, purchase one of those weekly pill boxes and use the compartments to keep your items in.

A lot of these I knew but wow...

Power strip tip great! Remember it for lake but didn't think about it for Dis
Plastic hangers with clips--great idea!
Thank you notes in day pack, genius! Cast Members will be happy this visit.
And I think my favorite is the bringing flip flops for water rides. (as my teen sons would say, facepalm!)

Gathering all these together for a friend who is going with us in a few weeks. She's never been and has a family of 5 going. :) This will help her a lot.

I know disposable rain ponchos have been mentioned a few times so I wanted to share-
Yesterday while at Target they were having 70% off the stuff in the front bins- usually full of $1 items. I picked up 10 disposable ponchos at .30 each! :D

And Packing Cubes are the bomb!

They save tons of space, organize your bag and when used in your carry on, make going through security a breeze!

When we arrive at our destination, all we have to do is pull the cubes out and stick in the drawers.

Dont the clothes get all wrinkly?

Not only "do they get wrinkly" (which i would love to know how to avoid since we had to iron a lot) but with that system (which I tried) I over packed the bag and had to pay the overage fee:rotfl::rotfl:

so while this is a great idea:thumbsup2, remember as you pack the bag to check the weight (especially if you are flying!!!)
