What is your middle name?

My middle name is my paternal Grandmother's maiden name. And it is the name I go by.

It is a short middle name that my parents and all my family called me because my first name was the same as my Dad's and they thought that calling me by his name would cause confusion. Makes me wonder why they named me that if they weren't going to use it.

I hate my middle name, it's not a bad name I just happen to hate it. So being born and brought up in upper, upper New York State in a small community I couldn't escape it. When I was 15 we moved to Vermont and I went to a new school where no one knew me and I stopped using that name outside of our house and have done so ever since, almost 60 years now. Still caused some confusion for my wife having to remember who knew me by what name, but it is no longer a problem.
