Mine would be office supply stores and bookstores!

I just took a road trip with my husband on one of his business trips to upstate NY and thought I'd blow a couple of hours in a bookstore. I ended up at THE biggest bookstore I've ever seen in my whole life. You should have seen my face. then Remember the commercial where a wife takes her husband to a Best Buy and he pauses in the doorway before running off into the store like a little kid? That was me. I was in that store for 5 hours and only left because DH showed up and dragged me out kicking and screaming (kidding).

So what's your inner geek?

I'm all about the bookstore, too. Luckily, DH and my dd are pretty much the same way so we're good.

I'd have loved to visit that bookstore, too, Mushy!

I didn't know that bookstores were geeky! But yeah, I can't come out of one without buying something.

I love school supplies and office supply stores too. I guess this is why I am a teacher!

I am an IKEA addict. I love, love, love that store. My boyfriend and I go every week - it is our Friday morning 'date'. We eat at the little cafe downstairs (love their hotdogs!), then wander the store.

I love to read. But I hate bookstores. I really do. Can't explain that one

My geek thing would be when I find an amazing deal at a store. Like the Cars sleeping bag on clearance at Walmart for $3 - originally $20. And when I hit Target several days after Christmas last year at their 8 a.m. opening and it was the day everything had gone to 90% off. Or yesterday at the grocery when I got the last two cans of spaghetio's that were closeout priced for .40 cents each. Those kinds of things make my heart beat faster.

ooooh my inner geek is school supplies...i love me some school supplies...notebooks, highlighters, postits...and i've been out of college for some time now! and my other geekiness is libraries...love the quiet and the smell of old books. my favorite place to be

Inner geek:

- Bookstores
- Any place that sells handbags and makeup especially handbags. I love to analyze satchels vs. hobos vs. totes vs. signatures vs. messengers. The organization, the pockets, the satin linings, the measurement of the shoulder drop....Geek city! When I order bags on line I got my ruler, my compass and my pad!! LOL.

Libraries.
I LOVE libraries..in fact I just about squeed myself when I found out the library in the next town over is going to make available audiobooks to download direct to your MP3 player via their website. Now I just need to go see if they'll let me have a card. I don't know what their policy is regarding people who don't live there having library cards there.

Oh gosh, I am always at the library (3x per week!). I've been taking my daughter to the library since she was 18months. Everyone knows her over there!

I love going to festivals and expos where you go around to different booths & fill your bag with free stuff, like pens, notepads, samples, etc.!!

Appliances - I love looking at the new washer and dryer I might have one day, and a gas range, if we ever get gas in our neighborhood. And check out the storage space in the refrigerator.

Those are pretty cool too. I mostly like the pens because I'm a big ol' pen geek.

My sister works in a hospital pharmacy -- and you know those pens from pharmaceutical companies are awesome! I used to steal them from her all the time, but ever since I confessed it to her, she's been bringing them to me voluntarily. gotta love a pen-giving sis!

Library for me, too! I told the librarian yesterday that going to the library is like going to Sam's Club for me: I go in for one thing and come out with ten!!

Yes, I could spend full days in bookstores. I found a USED book store this past weekend. That's even better. 50 percent off cover price. I traded in a stack of books and now have 50 bucks in an account. Be still my heart

This Barnes & Noble had a used book section!!! I was in hog heaven. They had a big section with used books and a big section of the bargain books. You could have fit 4 of our closest B&N into this one whole store. Amazing.

I want to move here, even though I always said I'd never move north. My husband thinks I'm nuts.
