What is your favourite Yankee Candle?

Greenhouse, Moroccan Rose and Edelweiss. Take a look at the Edelweiss prices on Ebay. UGH!!!!

I agree on the soy. They really need to create a soy line. I love L'Occitane Soy Lavendar. It is heavenly.

Are these the same Scent Stories units that Walmart carries??? They look the same, I wonder if the disks are interchangeable.

I'm not sure about the players from Wal-Mart, but they ARE the same as the old Febreeze units. Yankee actually bought the rights to the Febreeze units, so when they come into our store they still have the Febreeze packaging & stickers on them, that we change out to Yankee. So if Wal-Mart still has some of the old Febreeze units it's probably the same thing!

Edelweiss!! No one has ever requested that in the store, but one of our old managers loves it. When the store manager & I trekked up to MA in December (for my Roasted Coffee fix) we grabbed Edelweiss for her. They had it displayed in the dark room with suits of armour & gargoyles!!

My all time favorite was discontinued long ago.. Captain Black. I've even been in stores and asked about it and no one remembers it, I guess it was supposed to smell like captain black pipe tobacco. It was a masculine scent.. kind of like cherries and musk. I wish they would bring it back!

I really like Vanilla Lime. :thumbsup2

I've never heard of or had a request for Captain Black! I can't wait to ask my store manager, she's been with Yankee forever & remembers all those oldies but goodies. Knowing her she has one in her fridge (she made her DH empty out his beer fridge in the basement to store her candle collection in!)

Those are what I thinking about, my mom has one and put it in the top of the hall closet because she didn't like the disks that she bought...I'll have to get her some of the YC disks, she LOVES YC. Thanks!

mistletoe, mediterranean cypress, spiced pumpkin are my 3 favorites. i tend not to burn them anymore because they leave so much stinking soot everywhere. i only try to buy soy candles, which i've never had a problem with soot since buying. i live 15 min from the flagship store, so i feel obligated to get yankee candle sometimes.

If you use a illuma-lid, it will truly reduce the amount of soot you get on the walls and also produce a more even burn.

I've never met a Yankee Candle scent that I didn't like. I do have a rule though, that I can only burn scents during their appropriate "season" (spicy and harvest-y scents in the fall, beach and fruity scents in the summer, etc.). It actually drives me crazy if this rule is ever broken. I do NOT want to smell Mistletoe in the middle of July, y'know?

I love it when they send their scratch-n-sniff catalogues. I will flip through it several times and just...SNIFF. :)

Spoken like a true sales person! I think that's word-for-word from our manual. Hey is there a Secret Shopper in the house?!?!? They really do work, I'm amazed at how well. They had to talk me into spending 10 bucks on one, and now I won't burn a candle without it!

You are not alone! I only burn Lemon scents at Easter, Sweet Strawberry in summer, and Macintosh after September 1st (it's like the no-white-shoes-after-Labor-Day rule!), then an autumn scent til Thankgiving, then Balsam & Cedar. I fill in with Rhubarb Plum, that's one of my retired favorites that I stocked up on at the outlet. DS7 begged me to burn Macintosh this week & I just couldn't do it!

I live quite close to a Yankee Candle outlet store which is great! They sell discontinued scents as well as jars with say some faults when the wax was poured at discounted prices. Love going there!

My fave scent has to be Macintosh Apple. Love the way it makes my living room smell!

I like the scents marked 'Clearance'!

I got a large Christmas Cookie jar for Christ,as and I don't know what to do with it. I don't care for Vanilla-based or evergreen-based scents. My Mom gave me a Cucumber Melon and I haven't burned it yet.

Is anyone familiar with Nina Campbell candles? Someone I know is into designer candles and had gotten a samples shipment. He was going through the box and talking about them and smelling them. He hands me a box with one called Topaz and says he'd like me to have it. It smelled pretty good. I got home and looked it up and found out that it had wood essence and tobacco in it and it retailed for $50. Holy smokes! I thought YC was expensive.

Exchange it!! Yankee has a jar-for-a-jar exchange policy if you don't have the receipt. Take it in & pick any other scent in that same size jar for free. Even if you've burned it. Christmas Cookie is our best selling Christmas scent & I don't like it either. It's a good thing they make so many...

Really? I thought that I was stuck with it because it was a seasonal scent. It is unburned.

My favorites are
Holiday Sage
Autumn Wreath
Warm Apple Crisp

:goodvibes

Holiday Sage has been discontinued in the retail Yankee locations - it's now a Hallmark exclusive - or you can still get it at our flagship stores.

Autumn Wreath is one of my faves too but I like the really stong ones, and I never get a strong scent from the candles. I do from the plug-ins & tarts though, in Autumn Wreath.

Warm Apple Crisp was also discontinued but shows up online every now & then.

OMG - Piglet Too - did your store get Beach Walk in last week? It is Heavenly!!! So fresh yet relaxing at the same time. We got about 48 jars in on Friday, and have maybe 5-6 left. Everyone that smells it buys it! We got 18 reed diffusers in & are down to 2. Sold at least 20 car gels in it too! If you all need something new to try, go try Beach Walk!

I absolutely LOVE Midsummer's night!!! It reminds me of a man's cologne

That is our favorite here as well!! It smells like my DH and with him being deployed right now I burn it to have a little bit of him in the house! The girls walk by it and sniff even if it isn't burning.

I also love lilac and juicy peach.
