I was just looking at Wispering Canyon.. can't decide if that would be to my DH's liking (we live in KC so we can get BBQ any day of the week, and it ain't BBQ unless there is wood stacked outside the restaurant)... Keep em coming! I need lots of choices!

Kona Cafe lunch or dinner, is never a bad choice over at the Poly.

Boatwright's over at POR serves a wonderful breakfast.

Maya Grill at CSR serves a great breakfast and a pretty darn good dinner too.

Never to be forgotten is the Afternoon Tea at the GF's Gardenview Lounge. Yummy!

Citricos was my favorite resort meal, but if I was planning of grabbing a meal on a day I don't have park tickets, I'd pick either Boma or Jiko. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a destination in itself, and we loved looking around the resort before and after dinner. It'd be a fun way to spend the first evening of your vacation.

Ohana's
Chef Mickey's (gotta go at least once if you have never experienced)
Yachtsman Steakhouse

My husband's and son's favorite was WCC...but you want a break from bbq ...Boatwright's is delicious, Boma is fun to try and really good, even my picky son loved it, I hear 1900 Park Fare at GF is fantastic.

Are you going to be using the DP? If you are using DDP credits then Jiko at the AKL is very much worth the 2credits followed closely by the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC.

If you are not on the plan or are paying out of pocket for this first night meal and you love steak then you have to give Shula's Steakhouse in the Dolphin a try. This is truely an amazing meal followed by Il Mulino's which is located in the Swan if you are more in the mood for Italian food that night.

Resort: A tie between Concourse Steakhouse (but its changing to The Wave) and WCC..We loved Ohana's food but had poor service twice the only two times we have gone But any meal like WCC and Ohana's is better during actual dinner hours than the 9:00 hour bc of the interaction.
