I have tried a ton of carriers. The right carrier is different for everyone. How old is your little one and how much do they weigh? That make a big difference for me.
I am not a fan of the baby bjorn. Worked fine for my dd but the weight limit is low (only 20 lbs) and it just not that comfy. Not to mention it's not really ergonomically correct for your baby. In the bb baby just basically hangs by their crotch. In other carriers babies generally are in a seated position which is much better for the.
When my ds was little I used an unpadded ring sling. It's so versatile. You can carry your baby tummy to tummy, in the kangaroo position (facing out), in a cradle hold, on your back, on your hip. My ds is 18 mos and we still use ours. I have 2. A maya wrap ring sling and a solarveil sling from www.prettymommaslings.com. I love my prettymomma sling best. There are tons more ring slings out there. Ring slings have a learning curve and take soem time to get used to.
I also have a hotslings pouch. There are tons of other pouches out there too. I like the pouch b/c it's easy to use, versatile and small. Mine folds up really small to fit in my bag. You can use it in most of the same ways you use a ring sling. I will say that I don't find it as comfy as the ring sling and not as easy to breastfeed in. You can get a hotsling pouch in beautiful fabrics!!!
My all time favorite carrier is a mei tai. I got my first one when my ds was 4 mos old. At 7 mos we went to DL and ds spent almost 100% of his time in one of my mei tais. They are sooooo comfy. You can wear your dc in a front or back carry. You can also do a hip carry but I don't find it all that comfy. I have had 3. www.littleleila.com www.kozycarrier.com www.babyhawk.com Love them all for different reasons. They have a much higher weight limit than a bb.
If your dc is a little older you can look into getting a more structured carrier. I have a patapum and a beco. Love them both. I use them exclusively for back carries and will be taking the beco with me to DW in November. It's beautiful and comfy. The patapum is as well, but I bought the baby version and really need to move up to the toddler version. The structured back carriers are amazingly comfy. I can carry my ds for long periods of time and have no pain at all. An Ergo is another option. don't have one, but those who do usually love them.
