what is your favorite place to eat by the Buf airport?

Hi everyone, we need to be at Buf airport around 12 this Tues as our plane leaves about 1:20. I would like to eat a fairly filling lunch just before we hit the airport. I was thinking the Olive Garden across from the Galleria but they dont open till 11:00 and I am thinking that is just not enough time to do a full sit down meal and then get to the airport, even though it is just down the highway. We have been to Fudruckers and though I liked it alot my DH didnt. I really dont want McDonalds or anything like that-Can anyone suggest where to eat? I was also thinking of picking up Subway and taking it with us to the airport but I am not sure if it can go thru security, I know I cant take drinks. Any suggestions are awesome, thanks in advance...

I usually take the really early morning flight (departing Buffalo around 7 am) so I usually stop for McDonalds breakfast because its close and let face it, with me being in University and not much of a morning person I usually dont see McDonalds in time for their breakfast HAHAHAAHA.

I haven't done much eating around the airport other than the Olive garden which was very quick, but I agree with you that it may be a little bit tights -especially with they just opening their kitchen may be running a little bit slower. May I suggest you go to the airport a little earlier and grab something there? I know they have a few sit down places if that is what you are looking for, but there is this place called JAKE'S (i believe) that is like a cafeteria place with a bar and grill attached to it. I usually grab a sandwich or salad there - they have a grill area that you can get burgers and chicken ECT. I would suggest maybe getting to the airport then finding a place inside. That's what I usually do.

I usually leave early and stop by IHop for a nice big breakfast, it's by the Galleria as well.

The Buffalo Airport now has the famous Anchor Bar in it! It is after security. Order the famous wings and beef and wicks that Buffalo is famous for!
On Transit Road (just drive pass the airport and Genesee St. ends there) turn left to the Eastern Hills Mall area and all the chains are there. Turn right on Transit and you will find many family diners that are great. Not as far as Galleria and many restaurants to choose from.

thanks for all the ideas guys! We have eaten in the airport(and others around the world for that matter) before but for some reason I just feel so exposed-I think it has something to do with all the windows and the entrances being so wide and open for traffic flow etc but I just feel rushed and watched, almost as if I will miss my plane if I dont gulp my food down!!! I have to run into the Galleria so I think we just hit the Ihop, I didn't realize there was one around there-thanks everyone
