What is your favorite entree at Palo?

Last time at Palo I had the tuna and it was absolutely wonderful!

I just had that, and it was perhaps the best tuna steak I have EVER had. I sought out the chef to tell him so. I orderedd it rare; it was thick and warm throughout (not a cold center as many tuna steaks are), very nicely seasoned, grilled perfectly. The cut of tuna was sweet and tender. and the presentation was right up to Palo's standards.

I had the tuna and the turbot (was debating between then and my server brought both!) Loved the Turbot. The tuna was good, but not as good as the turbot....

In any event, we liked brunch better......

OK I had not considered fish.

Chicken Parmesan is NOT on the dinner menu, which is what the OP was asking about.

Well-it stated what is your "favorite Palo entree".. not dinner entree, plus others were also making comments on their brunch entrees as well...no harm putting in my 2 cents. That's all!

Ok. I think most of us went dinner since she mentioned the lamb which is dinner. :)

Got the Osso Bucco last time, and it was good, but oddly enough, it was outshined by the Cioppino (seafood stew) appetizer and the Papardelle with lobster (got a half portion). As we were going through the menu with our server, he was so good at asking about what we liked and then helping us sort through everything. I had been fully prepared to order a different app, and he had a pretty strong recommendation for me to try the Cioppino. I love seafood, but it just didn't sound great, but I broke off from my "look, dude, I have studied this menu a hundred times and know what I want" approach and went with his suggestion. Turned out to be probably the best thing I ate on the ship all week.

We're going again in April, and I plan to give the Branzino (sea bass in paper) a shot. Anybody here had that? We're also trying brunch for the first time, and based on everything I want to try there, it is quite possible that we will be banned from brunch in the future!

So QQ since this will be my first time eating at Palo or Remy's. Is it like the other restaurants where you can choose more then one menu item if you wanted to try a couple of different things?

Definitely - they will bring out pretty much whatever you want, at least at Palo. I have not eaten at Remy, but would hope that for what you're paying there, they would also have a similar approach.

Chicken parm from the brunch

But on our cruise to Alaska this past May, we ate at Palo several times, and I tried the Pappardelle con Aragosta. The description included lobster and I expected a pasta with lobster pieces in the sauce. Oh no, no, it was pasta with a creamy sauce with a huge lobster tail on top. It was absolutely delicious.

I've eaten at Palo twice and gotten the beef tenderloin both times...yuuuummmm.

My husband got a 1/2 & 1/2 like people are mentioning upthread - half gnocchi, half beef ravioli. Soooo so good. The gnocchi is heavenly (and what I get as an appetizer). :)

My experience at Palo is that they will bring you anything that you want, however much that you want.

What I have noticed is that when it is just my wife and I they bring "just" what you want. When our grown kids were with us (ie Larger group) that they brought everything that we all ordered and then they just kept bringing out food for us to try. I call it "Death by Great Food" ... what an awesome way to go. Then our server did the same with the desserts!

There was a thread a while back where some people felt that their server was not all that accommodating to bringing them everything they wanted. I think that was an aberration.

Here is my typical Palo dinner...

The mozzarella and tomato "salad", a half order of the beef ravioli and a half order of the mushroom risotto, the tenderloin Palo with both sauces, and the chocolate souffle. I don't typically ask for it, but I've been brought the panna cotta more than once as well.

There are more choices to a Palo dinner than I imagined. I will talk to my waiter more the next time. I really like the antipasti and the bean soup, but would appreciate 2 half orders. I was so dispointed with the lamb. It was my first disappointment ever, I would have liked something else.

We skipped dessert...it is what we do in Lent. That was something to explain to our dining servers, who were excellent, but wanted to indulge us every night!
