Now that the crab legs are off the menu I need a back up for CR. What is your fav entree there?

The pepperjack grits sound wonderful, but I'm not much of a catfish lover. I was thinking about the mahi mahi, but I don't like couscous either. Do you think they would do the mahi mahi for me with the pepperjack grits?

Thank you so much for starting this thread up. I too am stumped about what to eat now that the crab legs are gone. Those pepper jack grits do sound yummy though

The mahi mahi is cooked with pineapple and I don't see it going all that well with the pepperjack grits.

I have had the blackened catfish with the grits in Jan and while the grits were excellent, I found the tomato reduction salsa that was put on the first way too overpowering. Even after scraping all of it off, I could still taste it much more than I could taste the fish. I would not have it again unless I could get that tomato reduction left completely off.

In May I tried the mahi mahi, the server had said it was his favorite, and I enjoyed it very much. The sauce, while noticeable, was light enough to still be able to enjoy the fish. The the cous cous was very good, although I'm not generally a fan of it.

I actually LOVE the blackened catfish and pepper jack grits. I hate grits but these pepper jack ones are delicious. I also loved the tomato compote as well.

LOVE the mahi-mahi!!! However, I ate there last week and mine came with cashew jasmine rice, not couscous. :confused3

I love the Catfish!
However, DH actually found the pork chop to be one of the best he had ever eaten!!!;)

Hi

We are eating here in just 2 weeks but can you explain to a 'foreigner' what 'pepperjack grits' are as I just can't imagine...

Grits are basically polenta, so it's like polenta with pepperjack (spicy) cheese.

My favorite is the Mahi-Mahi. I went two weeks ago and got it with mashed potatos instead of the jasmine-cashew rice (allergic to cashews). Looooved the pineapple relish and the sauce. Mom had her's with the rice, said it was excellent.

I really liked the NY strip. It comes with a side of au gratin potatoes and broccoli. The sides were just OK, but the steak was great! (I actually enjoyed it more than some of the filets I had on my last trip!)

Thanks - think I will go for the mahi-mahi - always wanted to try it and love the way they serve it - can't wait.

Do you think they I could get them to blacken the mahi mahi? Blackened mahi mahi is my DH's absolute favorite thing ever. If they could blacken it and leave off the pineapple salsa, I'm sure I could get him to go for CR. Otherwise, picky DH will have me walking to ESPN or B&C for a burger :rolleyes2

The crab legs are off the menu? My DW had some on Spring Break in April. She said that they were great!

Me? I absolutely loved their NY Strip. Oh, it was wonderful. And huge. And tender.

I loved their steak last year - best steak I had on our trip. (Would prefer a dish wish shrimp or jumbo lump crab though.
