I've read that the Polynesian has some great drinks but I can't remember what they are. Can you tell me what your favorite "tropical" drink is from the Polynesian? :drinking1 :drinking1 Also, do the pina coladas from the pool bar come in coconuts? :teeth: :teeth:

(Yes, I'm bored and anxious for our Polynesian visit which is 400 days away! :faint: ;) )

Ohana Colada(pina colada)
Lapu Lapu
They make a very good mudslide at the Tambu Lounge.

Here's a Lapu Lapu - the extra that won't fit in the pineapple comes in a glass you can refill the pineapple with. (plus it's yummy to scrape some of the fruit off when you're done)

Lapu Lapu - Tropical fruit juices and Myers dark rum served a fresh pineapple topped with Bacardi 151 $9.99

My favorite is the Pina Colada from the Barefoot pool bar. They do not come in coconuts normally but for an additional $6 I think it is, you can get it in a coconut. Just so you know at the pool bar they have a machine, like a slushy machine, that has the pina coladas and also strawberry daquiris in it. The bartender doesn't make these every time you want one. I know most like a fresh made drink better then a machine made one but I really love their pina coladas here. They are consistent in flavor and not so strong. For an additional $3 or so you can get it in a Poly souvenier cup. It is just a clear hard plastic cup with the Poly logo on it. We have tons of these! Just don't put them in the dishwasher or your logo will disappear.

I like the Island Sunset! Delicious! We also have many of the Polynesian plastic glasses from the pool bar. It is a result of the girls extended pool time on our Feb. trip, lol.

What's in an Island Sunset? I think any drink that can be enjoyed while laying by the pool is probably a good one!

Hey J.C. & Ali's Mom....where in SWVA are you? I'm in Abingdon.

 That is so funny, Lisa! I'm in Grundy! I know lots of people in Abingdon. My DS works there, although she lives in Bristol. ~*~*It's a small world after all....*~*~!

This was suggested by the waitress at the Kona Cafe and I believe the name was "Sand in your Pants!" It's pina collada and strawberry daquiri (sp?) mixed. Yummy!

The pool bar calls this lava flows. Delicious!

Hello!

I would like to be at Tambu Lodge right now having a 'Tradewinds'. It is my favorite! However, it seems they are all quite good!
