What is your favorite Downtown Disney restaurant?

We've only eaten at Trex and I'd like to try something else. We have pretty plain palates, but our last dinner at T Rex was only so-so. I've heard there are some great restaurants at DTD. The only caveat is that we really aren't much into seafood...so Fulton's would probably be out. Any suggestions and why would be incredibly helpful!!

DH and I are also big fans of Portobello! Delicious food and amazing service - probably the best service we've had at disney property. I too hope that they maintain their food quality. There is plenty of fancy stuff to please the foodies but if you have a "plain palate" there is also great standard Italian food. I had the ravioli gigante (house specialty) and it was GREAT!

T-REX - It was so cool and the food was really good. Can't wait to get back to the "world" and go there again.

We really enjoy the food there. You can try different food or just the regular meat and potatoes. Plus, the bonus of live entertainment with the singers and irish dancers.

My favorite is Earl of Sandwich. I know that it's a Quick Service locaiton and not a Table Servide Restaurant, however it's become my favorite place to eat at while I am at Downtown Disney.

We also like Portobello. I hope the dining plan doesnt change/ruin it...we'll see. Raglan Road is also good and the entertainment is fun, it adds an extra dimension. We also like Wolfgang Pucks Cafe - downstairs, haven't tried upstairs though I'd like to.

Another Raglan Road fan here. Food was good, lots of it, nice entertainment, fun atmosphere. Planning our next trip & this is the one request DH has. Also liked Earl of Sandwich & Wolfgang Puck Express/Cafe for good & enough to share QS.

For us, the best place to eat at DTD is Fres A' Peel, we had a wonderfull lunch there, they treated my DD allergies excelent, and we had a wonderfull dessert at BabyCakesNY, it was the first time my DD could choose anything she wanted from the dessert counter, and she LOVED the chocolate covered coconut thingis the have and theri cookies sandwiches

I LOVE Wolfgang Puck Express Marketplace!
The roasted salmon has recently become one of my absolute favs!
We have never tried Portobello, but have tried:

T-Rex cool atmosphere, very mediocre food. Will not go again.
Cookes Of Dublin I find the food here to be 1 step up from regular counter service restaurants. We enjoy it here for a quick bite and find teh fish 'n' chips better than the Yorkshire in Epcot.
Raglan Road Havent been in yrs, but really enjoyed it when we went in 2006. Plan to go back next year.

Planet Hollywood Mediocre food and service. Will not return.
Wolfgang Puck cafe Food was quite good. Might return.
Wolfgang PuckExpress Westside I found this express location not nearly as good as the marketplace location. Will not return.

I've eaten at every restaurant in DTD mulitple times, and my favorite is still House of Blues.

My favorite restaurant in Downtown Disney is probably Portobello, but Raglan Road would be a respectable second.

We have not yet eaten at either of the Wolfgang Puck sit-down establishments, so my experience in the area is a little lacking, but the menus haven't really appealed to us. I feel there are better restaurants at the resorts and Epcot that do similar food with more appealing execution. That being said, we will check out both the downstairs and upstairs establishments at some point.

On a related note, I too was annoyed to see Portobello added to the list of dining plan restaurants next year. We never use the plan, and it's nice to have a respite from the free dining masses on occasion. Guess we'll have to stick to the Swan and Dolphin for that, from now on.
