What is your favorite Christmas or Holiday songs?

"Its The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" by Andy Williams totally gives me goosebumps

"Do They Know It's Christmas" Bandaid was always a favorite

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by the Pretenders makes me cry...pretty much any version of that song makes me cry..A few years ago, actually my DH and I's first married Christmas, we called out to his best friend who is his best man and found out that he and his wife had been separated for a few months, he just did not want to tell us to upset us at our wedding. That song was the first song I got in the car when we were heading to the mall to buy him and his 2 year old daughter Christmas presents to send out to them.

I just remembered one more that just totally cracks me up...I think its called something like The 12 Things At Christmas That Are Such A Pain To Me. It has this guy that kinda sounds like Archie Bunker singing about crowds and crying children and putting up the Christmas lights...its a riot. Does anyone else know this song??

Yes, the Archie Bunker guy sounds like my Dad.

My two favorites are Hark the Herald Angels Sing and O Come All Ye Faithful. I personally enjoy the versions of both songs as done by Take6.

My fave song to sing is O Holy Night. As somewhat of a singer, I enjoy the challenge to my vocal range that the song gives me, esp. all the high notes at the end. Plus it's a beautiful song.

But at the end of the day, you can't beat Grandma Got Run Over by a reindeer

I LOVE Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song" (Chesnuts Roasting On An Open Fire). That man's voice was so beautiful. As for more modern songs--I like ELP's "I Believe In Father Christmas".

Thats my favorite too. Although I prefer the Crystal Gayle version(I think thats who it is), I do enjoy them all.

I have so many, that I couldn't begin to list them!

I guess my very favorite is kid of obscure-- The Oak Ridge Boys sang a song called "Happy Christmas Eve" The lyrics are about a couple who are enjoying the last quiet moments of the evening
"the snow is in the streets, the kids are fast asleep, we're all alone now, Happy Christmas Eve."

Ever since we've been married, the last thing my DH & I do on Christmas Eve is turn off all the lights except the tree and dance to that song together.

Christmas would not be the same if we did not dance.
