What were some of your favorites, or your kids/grandkids' favorites?

I loved In the Night Kitchen and Where the Wild Things Are, both by Maurice Sendak.

One of my favorite books growing up (yeah, I'm old) was Alexander and the Magic Mouse.

I've never head of the holiday but every day is a good day to read to kids. A couple of my favorites were Harry the Dirty Dog and Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel. Also Katie and the Big Snow.
