What is your fav WDW park and why?

My favourite park is still the Magic Kingdom - I don't feel as though I've arrived until I've walked under the railway station into the town square and look down Main Street. My second place would now go to Animal Kingdom, especially if EE lives up to expectations - I love the 'feel' of the place and seeing all the animals is superb (We've booked a beind the scenes tour for October). Third place would now go to EPCOT, I love World Showcase (Illuminations is the best night time show ever!) and the attractions in Future World, but there is something missing with the Future World area - although I'm not sure what it is. Fourth place goes to Disney Studios - there are a few areas that need to be updated/filled in especially at the back of the park. However 4th place in my choice of WDW parks is still 4th choice of anywhere in the whole world I'd like to be!

Like Gill I never feel I am at WDW until I have been to MK, however, and I never thought I would say this but my favourite has to be Epcot, the first year I went I really disliked it there, and never thought I would grow to love it. I suppose my taste has just changed as I get older, I love the world showcase especially during Food & Wine, Illuminations blows me away and never fails to make me cry, it is also home to my fave ride Soarin

I am suprised by how many people love EPCOT, maybe I am missing something

I did get my photo taken with my DH so when we go next time we will be on the wall thingys when you first enter the park

MK sums up Walts dream and vision for me, it truly IS the happiest place on earth but if I had a ticket for one park only I'd probably choose EPCOT, theres so much to do, so many people to meet, many great shows and great food and drink opportunities.

As many of you know mostly our theme park days are spent ensuring Josh has a great time, which he does, however although we do like EPCOT the one thing we can guarantee is that he will fall asleep.
Just means for once we get chance to sit and have a quiet drink, hence for that reason we quite like it, in a strange sort of way

Overall MK is our favourite Disney park - we actually prefer Universal Studios to the rest of the WDW park's.

I always think this question is like being asked which of your children you like best. Like Gill and the others I think you can't beat that first walk down Main Street and MK is soooo magical but I would also have to say that Epcot is my favourite. I love Test Track and Soarin and a nice stroll around World Showcase (particularly Mexico don't know why) I think it's just a lot more relaxing than the others as with less rides you don't spend all day queueing

My favourite is the Magic Kingdom, with Epcot a very very close second. DH's is Epcot with Magic Kingdom a very close second!

To me, the Magic Kingdom is just that, magical! The rest of Disney is fun, exciting etc but just icing on the cake. MK is the whole cake!

That's what I thought the first year -now I KNOW different! the little rides, the shows and the millions of WDW secrets to discover make it so much more!

Like others on here, it seems, I've kinda grown into EPCOT as I've got older. Way back in '86 on my first visit I enjoyed it, but it was all new then. On subsequent visits I didn't have a lot of time for it. Did the rides around Future World - and this was long before Test Track and Soarin' in the days when Captain EO still featured. However World Showcase was done at full marching pace taking a quick photo in each country to show it had been 'done'.

On my last visit, I really enjoyed the chilled feeling of strolling around EPCOT generally eating and drinking a little bit too much and watching the world go by. I can see me enjoying more of these similar activities on future visits!

Darren, I totally agree, Epcot just has so many different atmospheres, I love Morocco at sunset and China in the height of the day, just sitting by the garden is so lovely and the acrobats are one of the best shows there.

Another vote here for Epcot. That lovely relaxed feel as you wander around World Showcase - watching the entertainment and enjoying all the food and drink opportunities on offer. Sitting in little gardens or just watching the world go by with a cool drink - you just can't beat it in my opinion.

The trick is to immerse yourself in the whole atmosphere during the day and wait for R.O.E in the evening - a slow wander back through world showcase to BWV when the park is nearly empty concludes a perfect day. Of course when Tapestry of Dreams was on it was even more special - now if they would just bring that back!!!

I see that not many people have voted for MGM or AK

I love AK, though I am a little upset that they have got rid of Tarzan rocks as I loved that show

I like Ak and my (probably ) least fave park if I had to choose would be MGM, thats not to say I don't like it but its a bit like trying to choose my fave ice cream, today I'm in the mood for Cookie dough, tomorrow Phish food I do think th edetail in AK is outstanding and its probably the park where much more effort has gone into the theming.

Darren my man, you are a true Epcot connoisseur (and, yes, I did have to check the spelling of that word) who appreciates what this park is all about.
It's a great combination of rides in Future World in the morning and strolling, drinking and relaxing in World Showcase later in the day.

Nope. Still don't get it. You fly half way around the world, pay a large amount of money to enter a theme park for three (half decent) rides and then spend the rest of the day strolling around. To me it's like staying next to Alton Towers and chosing to visit that or pay the same to walk around a couple of adjacent fields.

For us, Epcot will always be something to visit quickly in the morning before going to another Disney park or as an after-thought at the end of the day - unless there is something good on the telly.

I love them all but MGM holds very special memories for me so I'm going to say that one but only for the reason I had my 18th birthday there....it would be the same for any other park if i'd spent my birthday there. I lvoe them all so dearly!
