Bachelors of Music in music history. So yeah, a completely useless piece of paper! But I thoroughly enjoyed earning it!

Masters + 30 but the 30 was necessary just to keep teaching and earning enough to survive in our expensive county.

And it doesn't help me at all now that I'm retired (with the 2nd worst teacher pension in the country) working temp and earning minimum wage.

Yes, you can get a doctorate in law - a Ph.D.

You're only referred to as 'dr.' if you hold a doctorate. There are adjunct professors and instructors that only hold Master's degrees.

You can also get an S.JD. It is the equivalent of a phd at a law school. Relatively few schools offer it which is why it's not widely known. It is pretty much strictly for academics
