I have two MAs. I didn't really plan it that way. I intended to get one MA and then go back and get a certification, but I was so close to the MA in that field I decided to go ahead and finish.

It is a good thing I did because when we moved, the new state would not allow me to get the job in the field without an MA in that particular field.

I selected "other" because I have a BA in Psychology and 15 graduate credits in Applied Behavior Analysis. I did not complete that graduate program and likely will not as I work in a different field now.

Is this like liar's poker? I'll raise with 4 undergrad and 2 post-grad degrees.

Finally going back to school right now. I started when I joined the Air Force in 1991 during Desert Storm but dropped my classes after I started hanging out with my buddies too much. No, I did not go overseas. The war actually ended while I was in the USAF Police Academy. I left the military and did not bother going back to school until now. I am 39 years old and trying to complete my Bachelor's of Criminal Justice with a concentration in Management. God this is hard. :lmao:

I'm not being sarcastic in the slightest just have a question:

What is causing the negativity on this thread? I know how hard I worked to finally finish my degrees and the sacrifices my family made to help me make it happen.

I'm curious as well.

When did higher education become shameful rather than an accomplishment?

Congrats to all the people who worked hard to accomplish your goals.:thumbsup2
My grandmother once said that people who are truly smart and rich dont spend their time talking about it:teacher:
So how's the weather out there today?;)

Not under 22, but I do have some college. But as far as completed, just a H.S. diploma.

I think my aunt and mom graduated in 66 and 69 (somewhere around there), both went to college. I think they both finished associates at the community college, but didn't go any further.

Really at this point, the degree is so old that it's almost irrelevant since the way things are done are so different. I know my aunt has an accounting degree, back when things were mostly done with pen and paper.

3 years of college. I quit between my jr and sr year (okay, I really had about 1.5 years left) to marry my DH and move with the US Navy.

I said other, I have gone to college, but have not finished enough for a degree....I keep on thinking that I will work on that when I retire ;)

i'm in college and will eventually go to medical school. i'm thinking of doing a masters in between to take a "break".

my sister just started medical school, my 2 brothers are freshmen in college, my dad has a mba, and my mom has her phd.

Sorry I just don't get it, why are you even slightly interested in the education of those who post on a Disney discussion board? I'll rack it up to another cultural difference, this discussion would not happen among my friends/acquaintances/colleagues.

I'm sorry-have you met the Community Boards?? Take a peek around and you will see that topics related to WDW are scarce on these boards & people ask all kinds of questions and topics related to people's lives. I don't know much about Scottish culture, so yes maybe it is a cultural difference.

Either way, it is definitely a universal option to skip a thread that you have no desire to participate in. :)

....and my grandmother would have probably responded by saying "get over it." ;)

She didn't even finish elementary school, she was not ashamed to admit it, and was still the smartest woman I've known.

Sorry that level of education strikes a nerve with a few people. It's a harmless question, not a brag fest or a pity party.
