What is your comfort food for a cold, cozy day?

Made chili during the bomb cyclone on Thursday.
Friday was tuna melts and tomato florentine soup.
I'm planning beef stew for Saturday.
:scratchin I quite dislike fish and cheese together generally but for some reason I love a tuna melt. I haven't had one for a super-long time, or even though of it but since you mentioned it, I better have one pretty soon! :wave2:

I really like the pioneer woman's recipe for chicken and noodle.
Hot chocolate with some chocolate and spice mixed in. yum
Good tuna sandwich.

My homemade hamburger/beef vegetable soup, pot roast with potatoes and veggies, meatloaf and au gratin potatoes, scalloped potatoes with ham, beef and noodles, grilled cheese sandwich and soup. It’s no wonder I have trouble losing weight in the winter. :guilty:

Cooped up in the house all weekend with temps colder than the North Pole!

I have been plans with my couch, a snuggly blanket, Lifetime movies, and possibly my crockpot lol.

Thinking about making my favorite comfort food, some homemade mac and cheese, but I'm the only one in the house who likes it. Seeking some ideas...

Taco soup
Chicken noodles or dumplings
Beef stew
Pancakes
Homemade cobbler
Anything in the crockpot

My absolute favorite cold weather food- American Chop Suey! Also, New England corn chowder!
I'm looking up a recipe for NE corn chowder now. We've dipped into the low 70s, which is soup & chowder time for us. Yes, I know we're cold weather wimps. :duck:

There are alot of soups listed here that sound really good.
@AnnaFloridaLover do you mind posting your spinach and lentil soup recipe? I have a TON of lentils and I only use them for one thing. I think my family would love some variety!
