What is WRONG with people?!?!?!

So, I get to the bus stop as the 7am bus is leaving. I stand in the little shelter thing. I'm all by myself. A lady comes and stands to my left. Another lady comes and sits in another shelter. More people begin arriving.

All of a sudden some moron comes up to me and says I had to move because the line goes behind him. "I was here first." I tell him. He says it doesn't matter because the line was formed behind me and I wasn't in it!! HELLO!! I STARTED the line!!!

So you think any of the fools who stood behind me spoke up? Nope. I was not getting at the end of the line since I had been standing, in 30 degree weather, for 15 minutes before the first person behind me even showed up. So, I told them to have a nice day and a lovely bus ride because I was going home.

So, here I am. I called in sick and I'm spending the day relaxing.

What is wrong with people?? Why didn't someone stand up for me and tell this jerk that I was the first one standing there???

I'm just amazed. Amazed and disappointed in people.

Reminds me of a few times when I've stood in line in a store at the "line forms here" sign. *Someone* will go directly to the register. When I politely say, I was here first, they will say "oh, I didn't realize you were in line."

If it makes you feel better, I would have stood up for you. I love to open my big mouth to losers like that. My husband is continuously embarrassed by me b/c I just can't keep my mouth shut around those types of people.

I would of stepped in front of him and anybody else and walked on first even if I had to knock someone down. Growing up I was bullied alot and that taught me to stand up for myself to the point of being a big mouth.

You queue up for the public bus?!?! I've never heard of such a thing. I'm sorry the guy was a jerk but isn't calling in sick a little excessive? Plus, by leaving you reinforced that kind of behaviour. Since the ploy worked fine today, don't you think he'll just try it again tomorrow? I don't know. I'm just confused about the whole thing. Enjoy your "mental heath day".

I came home because the line was massive by this point and I most likely wouldn't have gotten on the bus. I normally take the 7am and I was unaware of the apparent 7:30 line that forms and where the proper spot for forming said line was. The first woman to stand behind me could have clued me in if this was the case. But, nobody said anything about the elusive line until the line was so long that we all wouldn't have fit. You can't stand on this bus, so you either get a seat or your wait. I was not about to wait another half an hour in 30 degree weather. They can have the bus.

I'll just have to make sure I'm never late for 7am bus again. A line never forms for that bus, we all just stand there and get on the bus. There are no "here is the line" signs and there are never that many people waiting for the 7am.

I swear I was on MTV's Boiling Points! I kept waiting for someone to tell me I won $100.
