I am a new member. I got a couple of pamplets today, welcoming me to DVC. What other information can I expect? I have heard about a Welcome Kit; however, I am not sure what information is included in the welcome kit...

We just purchased a 150 pt add on at SSR, we recieved a tote bag, a SSR lithograph, and a nice box/file with temp member id cards, dvcmember.com registration directions, public offering statements, a member benefits guide, and a disclosure about the II Exchange program. I think there was also deed and mortgage/lending paperwork included.
Congrats!

WOW! I didn't get that - checked my mailbox today and there were two booklets. (I bought resale, so don't expect all of the extras)

I bought about a month before you, Martinvols, and a month before Vascubaguy, who received his package and membership card.

I did pick up a temporary card in August, but called 3 times before today's mail arrived. Can anyone tell me if the card comes seperately? Thanks!

For resale purchases you don't get all of that stuff. You'll get a "Vacation Planner" and the "New Member Handbook". That's the resale member kit.

A few weeks after you get that you'll get a post card about accessing the member website and then a few weeks after that you should get your permanent membership card.

Hey! I was just going to PM you - great job reading my mind all the way over on the other coast! :rotfl:

So I'll be on the lookout for a member card in a month or so....

We are new DVC owners -- just a few weeks since escrow closed. We received in the mail the two booklets mentioned above, plus two "sample" papers -- one titled "Receipt for Public Report for _______ (A Timeshare Plan), and the other titled "Product Understanding Checklist, The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge".

We are still waiting for that all important membership card and membership number so we can actually access the web site and start planning our first trip home.

Thanks for the question and info. I bought resale and just got the two booklets this week and was wondering if anything else was coming. You responses help me know what to expect. :earsboy:

By the way...I got me membership number by calling the DVC 800 number. I gave them my info and they gave me the number.
