What is this obsession with

Monty Dog? Sure, he's cute and all but CB is overflowing with Monty posts. Surely we adults can find something else to talk about. Flame suit is nearby.

It's kinda like last week when there were 20 threads about books. Today it's Monty (who is super cute, IMHO). I guess those who don't care as much about him and the stir he's caused lately, can just skim over them. Or hit other boards.

Now see....usually all I see are threads about exchanges, reality shows, and one word associations games. (not that there's anything wrong with that! )

I simply skip over them.

There's something for everyone here if you take the time to look around.

Its a Community Board which means anyone is free to post what they like as long as its in the board guidelines.

Some people, myself included are animal lovers. I love Monty Dog posts and I miss all the Simba posts. I find them funny!

The debate topics, politics etc. don't interest me so I skip over them but they have every right to be here.

Thats why its a COMMUNITY BOARD there is something for everyones interest.

I gotta agree on the exchanges, Blondie. There are an excess of those, and also the clubs. There are a ton of "clubs" here on the DIS, sometimes the whole first page is clubs and exchange threads. What I do is simply scroll down until I see something I am interested in responding to, even if it means....gasp!.... that I have to go to page 2.

You got me on that one. I do not know what I was thinking. I just logged on and noticed monty dog posts all over the place.

No disrepect meant towards Esmeralda as she certainly is a proud mom. However, all the gushing over someone elses dog would put my "Charley" into doggie therapy.

I'm not really a dog person but I don't care if others elevate their dogs to 'child' status, lol. My mil can talk hours about her dog, just like others can about their kids. I'm sooo happy to read anything other than Bush slams and pro-Kerry junk, I'll take a Monty thought any day and every day!
