what is there for a toddler to do in wds??

on our last trip i only visited the studios once while ash was asleep in the buggy. it was just a ten minute walk around and look in the shops and my mom decided there was nothing to do there and wouldnt go back.

this time i would like to give it a chance. there will only be me, my mom and ash so anything we do there will have to involve her. so what do you think??

Animagique is a show with Mickey and Donald that she might like, if she's into that sort of thing and will sit still long enough to watch it. There are characters doing meets and greets and I think there's a Toon Town type bit (we missed that but have read about it on here since then). Not sure there's much else. She might be able to go on the Cars ride, which is quite cool.

yeah i think she would last 15 mins keeping still

she loved dumbo and i hate heights and she kept screaming for me to put it higher i was a nervous wreck by the end of the week. but just for her i will brave orbitron and the flying carpets next time

I find Orbitron the worst of all as it seems to tilt as well. Im convinced Im going to fall out

We took Lottie on the flying carpets, cars and studio tram tour, she had a lovely time just exploring the studios and meeting the characters.

I find that there is lots for toddlers to do in WDS.

Animagique, Stitch Live!, Magic Carpet ride, Cars ride. Also there is lots of organised meet and greets throughout the day for characters.

We have been taking our two since they were babies. While on the face of it WDS looks like it is more geared for teens and adults, we have had some great times with the little ones. WDS seems to offer much better meet and greet experiences. Also, no one has yet mentioned Motuers Action stunt show (It is about an hour long experience if you add in getting seated). It can be loud and there are some slow bits while they set up the stunts. But my two have always loved the cars, bikes and fire! Then again we have been taking them in since they were about 3 months old.

I think it's about 20 minutes and I'm sure she'll be fine. My 5 year old literally can't sit still for 5 minutes and even he managed it

I'm very much like you. When we went to WDW I wouldn't go on Dumbo, but as there were a load of us it didn't really matter. At DLP I had to brave them lol. I agree with the comment above about Orbitron being the worst though. It can be quite sore on the legs/hips as well because of the tilting, so if you can avoid it I would recommend you do

I totally forgot about the Motuers Action. Our youngest (9 months last time) loved this and wasn't bothered at all about the noise. Our son (was 4) absolutely loves cars so we couldn't not go, but we were a bit worried as he hates loud noises and he was fine too. I think so long as you explain it'll be noisey, she'll love it.


I also agree with the comment someone made about the characters. It's definitely more civilised in the Studios, not quite as busy and there seem to be more characters as well.
